Re: What is the difference between Luciferianism and Satanism?
If he/she is an atheist, why call themselves a satanist?

If Satan, Lucifer, Jinn whatever you call it is a lie or an illusion, why call yourself a Satanist instead of Atheist??
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 36249561

From a psychological perspective, it would seem to me that 'satanists' have a fixation with negative energy or at least identifying with negative energy.

An atheist simply does not believe in a personified deity or 'God', and perhaps not even in an 'afterlife' existence, but there is no requirement if you are an atheist that you need to identify with negative energy or that you must lack a sense of morality.
 Quoting: ANHEDONIC

Oh hi there :))

absolutely, atheist has no god(s). of course doesn't believe in after life. (if she/he did, he wouldn't be an atheist)

""""but there is no requirement if you are an atheist that you need to identify with negative energy or that you must lack a sense of morality.""""

obviously..

but the argument is slightly different.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 36249561

Actually I wonder if there may be a small percentage of 'atheists' who do not believe in a personified deity or external 'God' but do believe in the 'afterlife' or some form of continued existence behind the physical flesh. Maybe if one is reading this he/she will speak up.

hmm

Re: What is the difference between Luciferianism and Satanism?
You have to read Rudolf Steiner to know the
difference, or at least get a plausable explanation.
Satan is Ariman, is an actual
being who wants to keep man bound to the
earth and not advance into higher spiritual realms.
Anywhere there is materialism, there is Satan.
Lucifer temps man to forgo the earth for
illusory estatic states, a kind of counterfit
of spiritual growth, without any real moral or character
development. The use of drugs for instant enlightenment
would fall into this category, paganism, much of the new age movement. These forces used to be more antagonistic but
are now cooperating and working together, according to
Steiner scholars. Supposedly at the end of time Lucifer
will be redeemed but not Satan. There are other, more powerful negative beings now working in Human evolution,
according to Steiner, like Asuras.

I don't agree.

Death is a reality, the end for atheists, the (somewhat) beginning for believers.

If some atheists believe there is more to it, then they should believe in a "bridge".

Considering the atheists are educated people, they must imagine, there should be at least a CHIEF on the bridge.

Much respect to you, for me it doesn't add up.

They cut the line clean IMHO. that's IT for them :)

In the ancient times humans were known to personify celestial bodies and assign human-like qualities & attributes to them. A type of anthropomorphism. I believe 'satan' is associated with the planet Saturn and 'lucifer' associated with the planet Venus. As far as the ideological differences between the two -isms I could not tell you as I don't study them or have knowledge of them.

Why would anyone WANT to be an athiest?

What if everyone in society were an athiest? Would decide morality or laws?

Because an athiest must also be an evolutionist, who are the more advanced humans? the ones with money?

Thanks.

I guess one of the things that I'm not understanding is all of the blood, guts, terror, fear, and human and animal sacrifices that are involved.

There's a lot of people here that are saying "Lucifer is good... blah blah blah" and he's the light etc., but how can he be good if there's so much bad done in tribute?

Re: What is the difference between Luciferianism and Satanism?
Please explain this to me.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 36180613

luciferianism is the exact same thing as satanism. except from the satanist's point of view, they worship Satan in his present form, while Luciferians worship Satan in his prior form. They think that Lucifer is still as he was, and will become God one day.
 Quoting: Salt

How dose the Process Church and/or the Process Church of Final Judgement Day fit into Luciferianism and Satanism?
 Quoting: TastyThoughts

the process church is a branch off from scientology. they believe that satan and Jesus will reconcile and rule the future earth together. it gets as goofy as L. Ron's stuff. they believe in channelling they also believe that there is a Godhead that consists of Lucifer, Christ, Satan, and Jehovah. . makes no sense.

process church is satanism.

if you are not for God you are against Him.
 Quoting: Salt

Wow, thank you for summing this up in an easy way to comprehend.

Lucifer is more rebellious.

But Luciferians are hypocrites because they persecute rebels.

So it is all pettiness.

Re: What is the difference between Luciferianism and Satanism?
This is the core belief of Satanists. Excerpt from church of Satan.
As Anton LaVey explained in his classic work The Satanic Bible, Man—using his brain—invented all the Gods, doing so because many of our species cannot accept or control their personal egos, feeling compelled to conjure up one or a multiplicity of characters who can act without hindrance or guilt upon whims and desires. All Gods are thus externalized forms, magnified projections of the true nature of their creators, personifying aspects of the universe or personal temperaments which many of their followers find to be troubling. Worshipping any God is thus worshipping by proxy those who invented that God. Since the Satanist understands that all Gods are fiction, instead of bending a knee in worship to—or seeking friendship or unity with—such mythical entities, he places himself at the center of his own subjective universe as his own highest value.

You are obviously one of the least fit ones, perhaps a good serf maybe, but definitely not an intellectual.

You might last two weeks in atheist society... if your master found some menial or amusing task you could perform for him.

I would like a copy of this "magic book" you are referring too...

Were you referring to Peter Rabbit or the Cat in the Hat perhaps?
