Re: What is the difference between Luciferianism and Satanism?
Literal Satanism: Has many variations like Christianity, but most recognize a hierarchy of devils, satan being the highest.

Symbolic Satanism: Atheistic, Worships Satan as a concept of self indulgence and human nature. Not an actual deity

Luciferianism: Believes the Christian God is a tyrant, and that lucifer eventually will become god.

You are confusing demonology with "Literal Satanism".

What is the difference?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 36249561

Demonology is usually a combination of Jewish cabalistic practices with direct reference to king David and involves summoning and controlling demons through rituals, while satanism is atheism with no rituals or demonic power.

If you need a magic book to tell you not to kill someone, you are probably someone who shouldn't be in society anyway.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 28948108

Eliminating my competition by any means necessary is the definition of "the fittest"

I think you are contaminating the gene pool and need to be eliminated for humanities sake.

I am fitter than you..

See how that works mr Adolf Hitler?

You sound like a psycho. If the magic book is all that is keeping you from going on a bloody rampage then do us all a favor and kill yourself. For the good of humanity kill yourself.

You are obviously one of the least fit ones, perhaps a good serf maybe, but definitely not an intellectual.

You might last two weeks in atheist society... if your master found some menial or amusing task you could perform for him.

I would like a copy of this "magic book" you are referring too...

Were you referring to Peter Rabbit or the Cat in the Hat perhaps?

Thanks.

I guess one of the things that I'm not understanding is all of the blood, guts, terror, fear, and human and animal sacrifices that are involved.

There's a lot of people here that are saying "Lucifer is good... blah blah blah" and he's the light etc., but how can he be good if there's so much bad done in tribute?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 36180613

There is no such thing as a person who worships Lucifer, Satanists are simply atheists.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1018225

this is bullshit.

Luciferians do not worship Lucifer. They look to him as being the giver of wisdom. he is Prometheus, stealing fire (knowledge) from the gods and bestowing it onto man. In the garden, it was the snake who offered man wisdom and knowledge.

Not quiet, little brain.

Atheism is rejection of a belief in god(s). And in general people who gravitate towards it are not driven by their cultural/religious brain washing and tend to think rationally.

Something you will likely never be able to do.

I have studied the satanic Bible, the Christian Bible, demonology, Reiki, astrology, alchemy and European religions extensively and hermetic traditions, related Jewish beliefs and a few of the Hindu customs to a much lesser extent.
There are distinct differences between Satanism in theory and practice from the perspectives of mainstream media and Christians and reality.
At no point or in any documents within the Church of Satan is there any connection to any demons.

Since it seems hard to understand this defines a Satanist.

This is a typical case of guilt by association. Some jackass takes an existing concept, warps it to his own agenda, and presents its as his own.

Another little brain comes along, does a skim study of both and declares they are one and the same.

Sorry, just because LaVey decided to piggy back on atheism, doesn't mean atheists worship Satan, lack empathy, love, morality or are part of his church.

Please continue, you are good for a laugh. When an atheist chooses to do good they do good for its own sake. When a theist does good, they do so because they were told to do so for a reward or fear of punishment.

If the only reason you choose not to go on a bloody rampage is because your religion told you to, can't you see how sad that is?

How are you defining Satanists?
As a Christian, from the dictionary who's terms are obviously twisted by popular Christian ideology or from the perspective of what an actual Satanist defines themselves as?
Would you define a Christian as someone who talks to an imaginary friend derived from the imaginary friend the Jewish people worship?

Please explain this to me.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 36180613

Lucifer is a Latin word for the Hebrew word Heylel.
Isaiah 14:12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer (Heylel), son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

Satan is an adversary
YHWH was satan
NAU Numbers 22:22 But God was angry because he was going, and the angel of the LORD (YHWH) took his stand in the way as an adversary (Satan in Hebrew) against him. Now he was riding on his donkey and his two servants were with him.

Numbers 22:32 The angel of the YHWH said to him, "Why have you struck your donkey these three times? Behold, I have come out as an adversary (Satan), because your way was contrary to me.

Oh no I agree not all atheists are Satanists, but all true Satanists (Members of the Church of Satan) are atheists.

Nope sorry, atheists don't believe in supernatural magick.

Does it matter? Defining a Christian or a Satanist is like defining a mental retardation. There are multiple variations of each.

I define both as irrational thinkers.

I already posted the dictionary definition on previous page.
