The Collapse is Starting! German Commerzbank Suggests Wealth Tax In Italy Next!
"A tax rate of 15% on financial assets would probably be enough to push the Italian government debt to below the critical level of 100% of gross domestic product." So there you have it, the 'new deal' in Europe.

These bankers are crazy. People are going to yank their money out of the banks and they can't have a long enough bank holiday to stop it.

The big deal about all this is that the precedent set upon Cypress will have everyone completely mistrusting their governments/banking overlords to impose the same draconian measure upon them. No one will trust the banks anymore.

Why the hell should anyone keep cash in the bank if the pond scum "elite" decide to directly confiscate it?

If this is the goal or plan, to have us all take our cash out of the banks, then they are planning to fill them back up with a one world currency. Once they are filled with said currency, you will need to trade your old cash for the new stuff @ 2 of yours to one of theirs......

in my opinion not currency..a card/devise.. to buy and sell pay taxes with etc..No banks . One central Organism that issues and controls the cards transactions etc..

You control the purses you have absolute control.

Someone is not nice..you cut the flow. Cant buy or sell etc..

Its like chess

Yeah, seems like the stakes in poker are being raised.

Germany learned that it worked with Cyprus.

Now they'll try (or actually trial-balloon) the same with the rest of the PIIGS.

Why?

1. They can't afford to let them go under (German banking sector would go under)

2. They can't (for many reasons) bail them out (indefinitely)

So they will have to find a way to bail them out (or in this case bail in via depositors) with non-German money.

The alternative is these countries divorcing from euro and getting a severe hammering on their devaluated currency (instant depreciation of deposits in new currency). This is what most local politicians in PIIGS countries are scared shitless to happen, because it would get them crucified (remember Argentina?). And of course, it would trigger (1) above, killing German banking sector.

What German poker players now think is that, this possibility will also do is drive some money away from deposit accounts into stocks and investments (like housing). And if the stock market is doing well, then the economy is, right? Right?

It's gamble alright, but I don't think they've thought this through on the pay-off chart.
