Rabies is exhibited in the infected through three (3) stages, the final being "Rage", as the Rabies virus specifically targets the brain. A mutation of this could definitely present what would appear as "Zombie", but a more cautionary tale would be of the creation of a hybrid virus. Now this illness becomes less and less of a problem. 1300000 vaccines were dropped last year, especially near Belarus border where ill animals are coming.
