Wow, mo, what did you do to me here?

I've been trying to skip out to pick up some food for supper, but my sons and I have not stopped talking about this since you've posted it.

It's led from one topic to another.

I just posed them the question-"What would you do if you woke up tomorrow and found out the internet is down and will stay down for quite awhile?"

One son seems to think it would be a good idea to have no internet for awhile, the other said he would communicate using his phone.

Our virtual self is a written word.

You don't think that the more time we spend on the internet, the more we become a virtual self and draw deeper into a virtual identity?
Or have we become two--our true self and the virtual self?
Maybe it is a good thing we return to our true self for awhile, if we can recognize it.

I'm still astounded at how much texting has taken over our lives. People still prefer texting even if it's more convenient to call.

I have deliberately kept my vintage cell phone with its retractable antenna, only because I don't want to fall into the texting trap.

Most of our communication is done through writing, texting, typing -- no real fleshly contact.

Even the written Word became flesh so He could take care of the world's most serious problem.

"And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us".

One thing I am confidant of is that the Lord is in absolute control; He holds us in His hands.

Regardless of what happens – we can't live in fear.

At the same time, I guess it still isn't a bad idea to have a backup plan.

Now it's off to the store.
