Mari explosion, Greek bond haircut are the main reasons for Cyprus woes. |

Mari explosion, Greek bond haircut are the main reasons for Cyprus woes. yep but at the same time many greek money went there too (from the bank run here) If i remember corectly about 5BN went to Cyprus from Greece after the bank run here, not enough to cover the huge damages. Biggest problem for Cypriot banks was that they were holding a disproportionate number of Greek bonds compared to the size of the Cypriot economy. Non-performing loans was/is also a big problem, they currently amount to 19.5 billion euros, an amount that corresponds to 26.5% of bank loans Detailed read on how Cyprus reached to the current financial situation. Anonymous Coward User ID: 26044775 United States 03/20/2013 04:27 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | This is all fabricated. Fearmongerers. All the states are bankrupt, even France and Germany. Where is here the news? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 16850075 Why do they need money if they can print how much they want? This island is very small and if its ecnomy could have an tragic effect on the world economy..than this system is utter bullshit. And of course, capitalism cant work and is bullshit. Capitalism? We've not had anything resemblind capitalism for a very long time. Oh, they *CALL* it that, but it is not. It is manipulated, top down, economic totalitarianism. ...like re-educating the slaves that their way of life is freedom but if they were to be freed and allowed to live as they please, oh, no! That is slavery. We DO NOT HAVE CAPITALISM! We have a kind of pseudo-fascism where state corporations and private corporations mingle and mix and fuck us all over. Get a clue. If you look at the world, capitalism hasn't been around for a very long time. The process died at least 60 years ago but they couldn't confiscate the dictionaries and reprint them to get rid of the word so, instead, they just re-defined it. Word Magic - If you can't get people to let go of a subject, redefine that subject. War is peace. Ignorance is wisdom. Freedom is slavery. |
