I've just spent 15 enjoyable minutes watching this kid's pranks ... him getting into the passenger seat of random people's cars, him jumping over random people, him kissing random people.

If you watch enough of them you will start to see (or at least I did) that he is actually making a sort of social commentary on the lack of communality in American (or Western society). He is obviously psyched when people laugh and assume no ill intent. I think his commentary is something like: wouldn't it be great if we were all more comfortable with each other rather than scared of each other.
