Until there is a Gold Standard & Fiat is totally dead no 'minimum wage' will matter. They will just print more money & increase the inflation rate.

The only solution is anarcho-capitalism. What you have in America is monopoly corporatocacy capitalism (a blend of money politics w/ big money corporation's). Laws are simply passed to benefit the monopolists & not the free traders. You wonder why small business's are suffering? There's your answer.

Until you put every politician & every company that has ever influenced a law by their money on trial, none of this will be fixed.

Enjoy the shipwreck.

All this minimum wage talk is trying to accomplish is a Bubble Shift. They know the next thing to "pop" is the massive amount of Student Loan defaults. Why? Because we send every motherfucking high school student to college, make them swallow the rising costs of education (grows immensely every year) and promise them that IF they can graduate there will be high paying careers awaiting them. Sadly, this isn't the case, because the Gov keeps fucking with the Business Owners bottom line, so they won't hire any of these fresh faces. College graduates are finding that there is NO job market, yet we keep jamming kids through the system at a high rate. I never though I'd say this, but maybe going to college isn't a right... Maybe it's something you have to earn, want, and strive towards. The current system is flawed, and the bubble is growing out of control. Who's profiting? As of a couple years ago, there are no more privatized subsidized loans, only from the Fed Gov can you get these. Most students have to have these to meet costs, so essentially you are forcing 18 year olds into debt slavery under a false pretense. Wait but I thought Credit Cards were bad? SHIFT THE BUBBLE. We are so beyond fucked and not very many of us see it.

when you give everyone the same amount, the price of everything goes up the same amount.
Things I paid for when I got 1,65 an hour now cost 20 times more what the minimum wage is now.

The system is manipulated, you wont get amything for free from them, they will let you get more numerals and zeros, not more value for it.
It's like an IQ test, you either see it or you dont.

Some people know inflation is on the way, then when it kicks in they'll blame the raise of minimum wage instead of the bank theft.

A raise in the minimum wage would be great for those with debt. It could be paid off easily. It would screw anyone with a pension.

Not sure if they would adjust welfare, social security, etc.

People wouldn't care about a 10 dollar burger if they made $22 and hour, except those on a pension. That would be half an hours work. Unless you get the dollar burger at McD's a hamburger is going to cost a half an hours worth of work to someone on minimum wage now.

Basic Economics tells us that raising the minimum wage cause all prices to go up. Therefore, those that have had a mimum wage increase will lose it simulataeously as prices for everything they purchase jump. In fact, artificially raising the minimum wage has always hurt the economomy because the action is contrary to our once laisse-faire system.

The real questions is, why is Warren proposing this knowing its counter-productive to economic stability?

Basic Econ, what a shame...

You know why she is doing it. She is just an Obama-lite. She wants to destroy the US just as much as Obama. By forcing the issue into the hands of the dumbest class of Americans (the liberals) she can force the issue by having them start demanding it, and of course Obama will gladly give it in order to remain in power. They know that by raising it to such a high level that no company can compete and stay in business, it will destroy the economy and give him the right to claim that it is all the Republicans fault because they will not give the people what they want.

Everyone now knows that in order to get what they want, all they have to do is to explain to the liberals that the republicans are refusing to give them what they want, and therefore that is something that they just have to have, regardless if it will cause the economic collapse of the entire world's economy.

Why, yes I have, have you? If I am a tard for acknowledging the truth then I believe it means you are an ass for refusing to see the truth.

The truth is, by raising the minimum wage to $22 an hour will cause the severest economic collapse this world has ever known. The only people working will be the unionists, producing products that no one can afford. If the lowest paying job pay $22 an hour, then all of those presently making more than minimum wage will demand a raise equal to the percentage raise of the minimum wage. Suddenly people making $10-$15 an hour now will demand no less than $30-$50 an hour. That may sound good, but all it will do is make sure that everyone that is not eligible for any increase (those not required to be paid minimum wage, seniors on social security, those on welfare) will suddenly be left with worthless amounts. If all of the ones now stuct in a fixed income don't get an increase, they you are signing their death certificates because they will starve within a month. If all those on fixed incomes also receive an increase in the same percentage, then the governmebnt will suddenly have to be paying out considerably more than it is now. Are you going to accept suddenly having to pay out an additional 50 percent of your wages to pay for offsetting the governmental cost of supporting your minimum wage increase? No you wouldn't? You would rebel against paying another cent in taxes.

What about the cost to the small businesses? Suddenly their part-time workers are demanding $22 an hour, which is probably more than their full-time employees. This in return will force them to either cut back on the number of employees or raise the prices too much in order to offset the wage increase, putting them in danger of closing their shop because no one can afford to buy their products. This in return puts more people on the government doles, causing your taxes to go up even higher. As this will be happening more and more, even more people will be thrust upon the government doles, causing your taxes to once again jump to where you are now making less than you were before the minimum wage jump up to $22. Explain to me how that makes good economic sense?

So until everyone is making $ 22 / hr how they going to afford the increase in the costs of products and services? Not to mention most small business has about a 10 to 30% profit margin. If you increase their salary costs 50% you'll be putting a lot of them out of business.

So... you don't think people who work at Wendy's have WORTH... that is what I hear you saying.

You THINK only the CEO or Union Worker have Worth???

So flipping burger is worthless in your mind???

Just checking in.

So, no one can give you a rope to LIFT YOU OUT OF YOUR HOLE at this point... you LOVE and DEFEND it.

Ok... perhaps your time is NOT right.... and in a few more years.. another will come upon you with the SAME MESSAGE.

But REMEMBER... you had ohter opportunities to get our of it.

I built a small Hot Dog restaurant Chain. Utilizing this newly proposed minimum wage, and based on my average sale's per restaurant (8 total), and average staff personnel per shift.

A regular hot dog would cost You $10.35

Fries & a drink cost extra $1.99

A Regular Combo meal would cost $12.39

Now bring Your Wife and 2.3 Kids for a quick meal and you have $49.54 for Lunch

Are you certain you want such a high minimum wage?

YEs... Sen Tom Hankins D-Iowa is working on it...

America’s 3.6 million minimum-wage workers will get a nearly 40 percent pay raise, if Sen. Tom Harkin, D-Iowa, has his way.

A few weeks after President Barack Obama touted a minimum wage increase to $9.00 in his State of the Union speech, the veteran senator introduced a plan to go even further, raising the low end of legal earnings from $7.25 to $10.10. For a person working 40 hours a week and 52 weeks a year, Harkin's bill would mean an increase of $5,928.

Don't get it. and YEs and Switzerland is doing find... within all the financial mess.

The President for the Swiss Federation of Trade Unions cited an example of workers from Eastern Europe working at an incineration plant near Winterthur, who received only 8.45 francs ($8.73) per hour instead of the minimum 22.70 francs ($23.46) per hour.

I could see min wage going to 10$. Not 20. That would be ridiculous. I guess it wouldn't really matter. If you inflated minimum wage, the price on everything else would go up just as high. It would just make everything cost more for everyone, and the government would get more taxes back (The main driver for this line of thought in the first place)....the more you give, the more you get. The government would like to force business to pay people more money, that way more of that money gets recycled right back to the most wasteful corporate entity in the world, the US government.

Maybe it is more my time than you think. Just because you care to follow the standard Communist way of economic doom, doesn't mean that I am out of step. I am simply stating facts as they are. You, by way of the Communist ideology, think that everyone should be working for the common good, as long as that common good is only good for those in charge. "If everyone is the same then everyone is equal". What load of crap is that? People are not the same, will never be the same, nor think the same. People by their very nature are racists, "I am better than you because I am in a better job than you". "I deserve the same because we are all the same under the skin". I go to school for an extra eight years because I want to be something more than just another mouth to feed. I become good at my job. Very good in fact. Better than most all of the others doing the same job. Because of the fiction that everyone is the same, I still can't get anything more than that of the lowest rung person on the planet?

Tell me, are you willing to give up everything you have worked for, just to be part of the masses? Give up your house, your car, your career, your way of life, just so that the standard of living is pushed beyond any countries ability to pay.
