I know that I served for nearly a decade, all of that time spent in the war or in the field training. But to be honest, between the lack of pertinent training in the beginning of the war the Marines and National Guard /reservists were more dangerous than the al-Qaeda could ever hope to be.
That's why the Marines were training at an Army facility. The Corps is all about cranking out zombie war machines in pretty outfits instead of investing in training. I suppose not their fault since they are bastard children of the navy. We were constantly training Marines on Ft Bragg when I was stationed there. I talked to guys who had been in for years and never seen a pair of night vision goggles or pop up targets. I was floored at the lack of training.
Again nothing against you Devil Dogs, just the way it is.
Quoting: mr.goodbytes You're high. A Marine infantry battalion is head and shoulders above any army infantry battalion. The closest the army has are ranger battalions. We may not have the nice toys, but our level of individual tactical training is unmatched. Out of respect for the Marines that lost their lives, I will not further debate this with you in this thread...start another if you like. But, you must be freaking high.
