Re: "Rogue planet" #1 STORY today on Weather Channel "Will THIS harm earth?"
Right, but why? Why should people care? It's just odd that there's actually demand for this. It seems to play directly on fears of conspiracy theorists. As if to say, yes, there really is a possibility of a rogue planet coming and wreaking havoc (albeit incredibly rare) and here's why you should be afraid of it. The key here is fear. We're talking about the fracking Weather Channel. The Weather Channel has become a part of the fear-based agenda of the MSM, and that says something.

There is a competition going on between the MSM. Who can best validate the fears of the masses to keep eyes glued and ratings high? The Weather Channel is saying, "come to us, we will validate your fears!" with this new program.

We could always look at all these space threats for what they are. A part of living in a universe such as ours, in a galaxy such as ours, amidst a lot of other dust and rock, and god knows what else. That should just be common understanding, nothing to fear. A part of the contract for being alive at all. We should be grateful and show compassion for these "threats.". And maybe think a bit about how to sustainably defend ourselves against some of the more manageable threats (diverting asteroids, etc).
