No uncle info here. First hand knowledge. For the last 4 months a major part of our training exercises have been dealing with civil unrest. Non violent mind you, but everything from recognizing unruly crowds and diffusing situations to "soft detainment" and mass "kettling" A lot of emphasis has been on isolating trouble makers and ring leaders before they have an opportunity to encourage others. Extreme force has been drilled into us as a last resource but not denied. We as a group are familiar with some of this already as we were part of an outfit that worked with other enforcement agencies for the G@ summit held in Toronto but not nearly as intense and focused as this time round. We have all been wondering what it was about and Monday our squad leader told us to be prepped for boots down at any moment. Divisions are sleeping in staggered intervals and all equipment is serviced and on 1st alert. No one has actually told us what this is about but everyone agrees Cyprus is the catalyst. One guy in the group claims to have info that we will be primarily focused on controlling mob unrest as well as increased border check points.

In my 7 years in the service I never imagined I would be forced to control my own family, friends, country men.

This world is getting crazier by the minute and it is so tense here people are losing their minds. Something is going to happen by end of month, we have never been on standby this prepped before.
