I never believe anything unless I can factually prove it to myself - nothing, never. But, I'm glad this is pinned - it's interesting - and plausible - i'd rather a post like this be pinned than some of the other garbage that does.

If anything - it's an entertaining thought.

Domino #1: Cyprus drops out of the EU monetary union.

Domino #2: The value of bonds from southern European countries drops...and bank runs start to happen in Southern Europe

Domino #3: Banks around the world (INCLUDING THE US) start getting leveled (bankrupted) because the back up (using derivatives) so much of the European Unions bonds...if the EU bonds fail...American banks have to pay up, because the US banks are acting as insurers to the EU bonds...

Domino #4: US gov't has banks that are "too big to fail"...failing...and can't stop the banks failing...

Domino #5: Economic chaos in the US and around the world...peoples houses being taken (mortgages foreclosed on...even the houses that are still up to date on their mortgages) as banks try to recapture capital...

Domino #6: Huge anger at gov't in the US

...the need for detectors at gov't buildings.

Again...I am only hypothesizing...I have no insider info...but, this scenario makes sense to me...but, then again read the disclaimer at the bottom of the front page of GLP ;-)
