I've seen hundreds of off-world anomaly pix over the years. This one actually caused the first sharp intake of breath and a 'WHOAAA!'

Either it's taken on some earth desert or it's real Martian Life.

Assumed factors: The figure is only 2.36 inches tall . . . does that change the probabilities of options (1-4)?

If we assign each option (1-4) below with the same probability of being correct they would each have the same 25% chance. I contend that all of the options are possible; however, the probability of their being true are NOT the same . . .

1) Humanoid figure is living life form . . . stationary or moving (If earth is a model to us possible examples would be the goliath beetle and other insect and the shrew the smallest mammal). (25% Probable)

2) Humanoid figure was object created by intelligent life (If earth is a model possibilities are discarded: toy, good luck charm, small religious statuette, etc.) (25% Probable)

3) Humanoid figure is rock (non-fossil) formed by nature (Crystal formation or mineral vein which is weathered free, etc.) (25% Probable)

4) Humanoid figure was organic (plant life, fossil etc.) but shape like humanoid randomly (Mandrake root, tuber, fossil weathered free) (25% Probable)

5) Humanoid figure is JPEG Compression Artifact

6) Other . . . please Post Your Response . . .

Analysis: We know there are creatures of many varieties that are less than 2.36 inches high (i.e. many insects, and the smallest mammal the shrew). We know that a statuette or toy or carving can be less than 2.36 inches high. We know that roots of tubers and small fossils can be exposed by weathering . . . amorphous organic clumping which suggest anatomic figures . We know that a small mineral or metal veins or complex crystal can be exposed by weathering . . .

Unlike the video I find it more difficult and less probable that the image is an exposed mineral vein, complex crystal, or just weathered and carved stone which is less than 2.36 inches . . . an intelligent life artifact or an organic growth processes is much more capable of such an anthropomorphic figure especially of such a small size.

great catch, I love George, but it could be just a rock. I think the only way we're going to know for sure is to have video that reveals motion rather than just stills. Surely they must have video attached to the Rover? I'm wondering why we only see stills - stills obviously can't detect motion and we can easily interpret rocks for things that appear alive.

I am sure they have the capability . . . watch this . . .

I like George. He looks like he is about to snap up a Mars bug.

I don't see any evidence, though, to support this being taken on Mars. It looks like the Vegas desert to me.

The Mars Hamsters eat them for food.

remember, a short time ago they found "a squirrel" type creature/rock too. i think they are creatures, not rocks.

Looking at Mars rocks is a lot like looking at Earths clouds. You can pretty much see anything in them.

Life exists almost everywhere man has visited on this earth. . . In the most extreme environments possible. . . .seems Mars would be a walk in the park in comparison. . . .

after curiosity broke a rock in half that exposed a white interior, is it becoming obvious that mars is covered with a thick layer of iron oxide sediment? but where did all this iron oxide come from? is it possible that this is the rust of ancient decayed cities that has been evenly scattered over the planet by millions of years of wind and erosion?

will we one day discover that we were not the first advanced race in the solar system, or even better, that we are one in the same?

i'd say its rocks, but i can definitely see what you mean. it was only 2 or 3 seconds into the video and i had already found the lizard.
