You are naive. I don't watch too many movies these days and have rarely watched a mafia movie in my entire life. I saw one Godfather movie, but none of the other popular movies of that era.

Russian hit men don't threaten. According to my source on this sort of thing (his wife's family was mafia), he says professional hits are often done by Russian hit men.

You might recall a couple of high profile hits in recent years. In one case the man was contaminated with a high level of radioactive material. His body became grotesque in its appearance. The victim made public appearances in an attempt to shame the Russian government.

It had no impact on the Russian government. They were behind it.

Putin would stand 100% behind the 'dons' if they decide to start killing a few people. He is thoroughly outraged and pissed by this theft.

IOW, the Germans would get zero cooperation from the Russian government in trying to find the killers.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 36555921

If Putin is so outraged, that he would consider such a serious detoriation in the relationship towards Germany, then he should foot the bil.

The choice still stands for Russia, they take a hit or they pay it themselves. There is no reason at all, why Germany should pay for russian money.

Now go to Italy where pretty much ALL the women are hot...

There is this thing called reality where women don't look like the ones you see on TV.

Go back to playing hockey and stalking Asian women. jerkit

Profits don't go to the average German, they all go to ECB and banks, you have to work this out with your govt and get a refund but your govt/press is too busy scapegoating other countries to distract you from where their profits really go. All the tards here playing the typical North-South blame-game seem to lack the brains to understand that they've found the perfect scheme to leech us both while dividing us at the same time for further future leeching.

FYI Russia had offered a loan to Greece too before the bailouts with EU were signed, but for obvious geopolitical and security reasons it was declined. Greece should had gone bankrupt long ago, all economists have said that, even Merkel's advisers said the same when the crisis started, so maybe you can riddle me why they're not doing what most think is the right thing to do? Probably there lies the answer for what you want me to riddle for you.

There are no profits in lending money to broken countries. Your assertion is ridiculous.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 33724411

True. So the reason for doing it is not to profit... but something else.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 36540283

The reason is the preservation of the Euro and the EU.

And to this I say, No Shit!.

It was already a bank run.
More like a govt run.

all the big investors now own cypress.

Very smooth heist!

News hits after russia and UK got out. Well except for those little fish investors, they got smacked. But the big boys they flew it out just in time.

This is what the eurozone will be...

I think we will have someone step up and settle this thing.
I think this will be figured out quickly and brushed under the rug.

But again that is just how it works.

It's easier to make money when you can control whose money you take.

WTFU!

I never said the hits would stop the present theft. I'm saying the Russian "dons" will seek retribution, and they won't simply be asking for repayment.

It's like the goons who come to collect on a mafia loan from a debtor who hasn't paid up. He get's his legs broken. Does that mean the borrower is able to pay back the loan? No. But it does men he has broken legs.

The hitmen who knock off the bankers won't be making threats. They will just quietly do their job: Hit and Run. In. Hit. Out.

After a series of targeted hits, the EU bankers will probably take notice, and that could affect their future actions.

It's unlikely that the Russian crime leaders gets paid back. But what is almost certain is that there will be some bankers whose lives are in great danger as are their family members.

You're confusing financial payments with the rule of the 'dons.'

The EU banks have pulled their levers, and the financial pains will be meted out to their favor. The Cyprian banks are doomed, so the true owners will swoop in and pick the bones as best they can.

But hit men aren't accountants. That's not how they collect. The don's pick up the phone, calls his lieutenant in, and hands him a slip of paper with a name on it or mentions a name. The Lt. brings in their intermediary and let's him know he has a job to be done. The intermediary contacts the pro and arranges payment.

Ten little Indians all in a row.

The EU bankers get their control, but a few get shot and killed, maybe more. If Putin decides to get nasty, one of them get the radioactive poisoning treatment as a message.

What's the message? Do NOT mess with Russian money!

The truth is that Germany already took a massive it in greek debt.

Why are you showing a source from January 2011? Becuase that shit is already 2 years old.

Here is a recent source. Germany lost 14 billion Euros.

I'm showing it because it was a blatant statement of what is still going on, some people make money on the backs of both the North and South Europeans, but seems that you're more interested in defending the policies and propaganda line of the banksters in Brussels and poor ol' Deutche bank.

Anyways, i'm really bored to continue with the North-South shit, it's so 2011 and done to death, bottom line is that the whole project goes down if one country goes down, as i said maybe you guys should have a chat with your own politicians too instead of playing their game to perfection, it's ridiculous to think that things are exactly as they're telling you they are, lots of Northern guys still defending govt line, we need you guys too in this if there is a chance to stop it sometime soon.

I like Russia.

Anyway, stealing money from bank accounts is a bad idea. Who´d leave the money in Italy or Spain? It would just make the crisis worse.

Who´d invest in a continent where politicians find it their right to take your property. This also worsens the situation.

We need the exact opposite: we need confidence, freedom to do business, we need savings and we need investments.

Yes, that´s true.

Except that it´s more complicated than that. German banks are also exposed. And Germany wants to keep the euro.

So, there are reasons Germany wants to get involved.

By the way, the other half of Cyprus has the Turkish lira and none of the problems with the banks.

The euro has created many of the problems, including the real estate bubbles and the excessive increase in public debt. Without the euro, local currencies would have depreciated and investors would have been cautious. Interest rates would have been higher and inflating real estate bubbles would not have inflated.

He basically ordered that Soviet KGB defector in England to be killed with RADIATION POISONING afew years ago. And he was. Horrible way he died too.

You think, then, he would hesitate to get the Russian Mob or some of his ex-KGB buddies to do a little "house cleaning" in Cyprus?

No, he would not.

Don't you understand, I don't care about your russian bad boys. And so does noone else in germany. If they want their money back they should take care of it themselvse, not expect the german nation to pay for their dirt.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 33724411

Yes, that´s true.

Except that it´s more complicated than that. German banks are also exposed. And Germany wants to keep the euro.

So, there are reasons Germany wants to get involved.

By the way, the other half of Cyprus has the Turkish lira and none of the problems with the banks.

The euro has created many of the problems, including the real estate bubbles and the excessive increase in public debt. Without the euro, local currencies would have depreciated and investors would have been cautious. Interest rates would have been higher and inflating real estate bubbles would not have inflated.

Well, if that is the behaviour Russia wnats to show the world, I say let them eat the cyprotic banks, if they love them so much.

Yes, its time to end the Euro for Cyprus. And I suspect Merkel and Schaeuble are ready for it.

You watch to many movies. Noone is threatened by russian thugs.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 33724411

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 33724411

Putin is going to want something in return because he knows these loans will never be repaid. Notice I said loans. The 5.8 billion they are supposedly fighting over right now is chump change... just enough to keep them afloat for a few months, so Russia is not going to keep throwing money at them. Rumors are that he wants a naval base and gas fields or both. I would need more than two hands to count all the countries that will not let either of these happen.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 14524586

While a bank run is bad, a dispute over vast energy sources between the EU and Russia could be much worse. Oh, by the way, there is another country that is highly invested in Cyprus gas... wait for it... Israel. Does anyone smell chemical weapons???

I feel sorry for the people of cyprus. its an absolute scam. by putting this tax even on the poor people of cyprus they just save 2 billion dollars. for 2 billion dollars they steal from all the people of an EU country. Its redicoulous!

2 billion is absolutley nothing and they risking a bank run that could spread all over europe.

Seriously it makes no sense. These 2 billion they can safe are not the reason they are doing this. There musst be bigger intentions behind that. Evil shit going on. our goverment is an absolute joke.

btw lol at people who think putin is pissed.

He loves this. cyprus finance minister is in moscow right now begging the kreml for money. Russia gonna help them but obv under special conditions. They gonna privatize that country.

I remember I was told about an elderly Cypriot lady yesterday on the news saying something to the effect-------

"The Germans have just started another war."

Sadly, I agree with that. Whether the whole nation or just its fucked-up government is responsible, it basically HAS started another war.

Yep.

This is crunch time for meltdown DOOM.

Do you know how many schools could be build with that money in Germany? How many Kindergarten places could be made.

I say there are lots of opportunities where that money is better spend then in Cyprus.

Tell that to Putin. He's PIIIIIISSSSEEEDDDDDD OFFFFF.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 777204

Did he have personal money in Cyprus or is he in the hands of russian thugs himself?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 33724411

It shocks you that Putin's friends are Russian mafia? Really?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 36555921

I considered that Putin acts in the interest of Russia not in the interest of criminals. Maybe I was wrong.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 33724411

Then you are a fool. Putin did something he probably never dreamed he would be doing...calling the president/PM of Cyprus. He probably didn't even know the guy's name a week ago.

The call wasn't to schedule a tennis date. But it turns out the real plan of the EU bankers all along was not to skim 10%. No, it is to seize the entire operation because the 10% plan was the poison pill that kills the ENTIRE Cyprian banking system.

So now Putin and the 'dons' will be setting their sites elsewhere. Yup, the EU bankers might be a little richer before they get snuffed out. But pissing off Putin this much by taking his friend's money is a kiss of death.

People are going to die. Shot dead. If they want to make it really scary, they'll do it like they did the Russian spy who fled to England.

Even the Rothchild's had better watch their backs.
