Los Angeles Earthquake Today 2013 Shakes Southern California
LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – A Los Angeles earthquake today 2013 struck Southern California hours after a similar quake began east of San Diego. The Los Angeles earthquake today Wednesday, March 20, 2013 began ten minutes ago and was centered near Vernon. No damage reports have yet to be indicated by local news.

Officials tell news that a 2.8 magnitude Los Angeles earthquake today began shortly after 9:22 am PST. The quake erupted at an active epicenter, located two miles northwest of Vernon. The quake, however, posted a nominal depth. USGS indicates to news that the Los Angeles earthquake started only ten miles below the earth’s surface. As a result, it could be felt across the vicinity.

USGS details to news that the quake began two miles west of East LA, three miles north of Huntington Park, and three miles southwest of downtown LA. Mapping today indicates that the quake struck west of Montebello, northwest of Pico Rivera. It was southwest of Monterey Park and Pasadena, east of Crenshaw’s Leimart Park, and south of Glendale, officials tell news.

Last night, a separate quake struck west of downtown as well. That quake was registered off the coast of Malibu. Officials tell news that the quake was fifteen miles southwest of Agoura Hills and eighteen miles west of El Segundo.

I think the important thing here is they seem to be emphasizing that similarity in LA area and San Diego area, and we have been in the middle of quite a swarm in between these two.
