Resister User ID: 36421936 United States 03/20/2013 01:35 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | As much as I encourage everyone to exercise their God given right to keep and bear arms, what would we do if... when the same happens here? I completely agree that an armed citizenry is a major deterrent to theft and tyranny and that history has repeatedly demonstrated the results. Because of fractional reserve banking though, customers actual cash is not stashed at a local bank. Only a fraction of the people's money is held at any particular local bank. So, showing up at the local bank to demand your money isn't going to get you your money because the physical cash isn’t there in the first place. Even the Federal Reserve doesn't have the money to back every account everywhere. So going there isn’t going to get you your money either. Also, the local bank teller isn't the evil scum that will be stealing your money. That would be the international bankers, federal reserve, and the federal government goons who go along with the theft. Going en masse to the local bank, federal reserve, or congress to demand your money over the barrel of a gun will however provide the perfect (if twisted) excuse for martial law to be declared. So what will happen when this evil revisits America? Well, the last time a bunch of farmers fought off the world’s largest superpower. Thing is, this isn’t the 1700s. No matter how well armed we the people are, our small arms pale in comparison to fighter jets, bombers, tanks, and drones our own government can reign down on us with from our own military. We better be praying that the mid-level military people are going to tell the pentagon (who is totally sold out) and the Whitehouse to go to hell if that day ever comes. I’m not being squeamish. This is reality. This is what is coming if we can’t get this stopped through lawful channels. "God forbid we should ever be 20 years without such a rebellion. The people cannot be all, & always, well informed... If they remain quiet under such misconceptions it is a lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty... Let them take arms... What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots & tyrants. " - Thomas Jefferson in 1787 |
