Israel’s proconsul to Canada faces political defeat and a future on the fascist dungheap
Though it’s been said, it bears repeating: Stephen Harper owes his political existence not to talent or popularity, but to the political exhaustion and enfeeblement of the opposition Liberal Party. After three majority governments under the strong leadership of Jean Chrétien, the Liberals spiralled into dissension and irrelevance under a succession of weak stewards—Paul Martin, Stéphane Dion and Michael Ignatieff—and became co-opted.

With the Liberals politically neutered and the NDP preoccupied with making electoral gains at the Liberals’ expense, Harper and his henchmen have had free rein to impose a zionist/corporatist dictatorship on the country. As they proceed to bully Parliament, eviscerate federal legislation, and wage war on our democratic political culture, Canadians might sense what life must have been like for Spaniards, Germans, Italians and other nationalities in the 1930s as they watched their countries succumb to fascism.

Yet, despite the pervasive gloom that has hung over this country for the last seven years, a recrudescence of democracy could soon brighten the political landscape. Next month, the Liberals will choose a new leader, but this time the party will emerge as the long-awaited governing alternative. Does that mean that Harper will soon join other deposed fascists on the dungheap of history? There are three reasons to think so.

Justin Trudeau

First, even without a leader the Liberals are in a dead heat with the Harperites, and this according to Harper’s chief propaganda organ, the National Compost! Of 1,755 Canadians surveyed during the first week of March, 30 per cent said they’d vote Liberal; 31 per cent, Harperite; 27 per cent, NDP; 6 per cent, Bloc Québécois; and 5 per cent Green. With Justin Trudeau as party leader, the figures for the top three become 39, 32 and 20, respectively.

What's it going to be Justin Trudeau vs Ben Mulroney.

This is just to get us used to hereditary leaders again.

LOL, dream on. Stephen Harper is one of the BEST, ballsiest politicans in the world. Certainly in the West.

As Canadian pipe-line kicks in and Canada finally takes advantage of its natural resources to the fullest extent... Stephen Harper is going to actually win another term, fairly easily.

No amount of typpical Liberal demagoguery, vote-buying and failed Socialist nightmare is going to fly. Canadians aren't as stupid, are tired of Muslim terror and will realize that dignity & pride in being a STRONG country overweighs Leftist fantasy.

Considering that LaFarge and Sintra are heirloom companies that connection might not be a bad thing if he is happy after the 'elite' have a mansion for every season and any profits filter back to the employees rather than the 'company town' mentality that comes along when strangers are making the decisions.

As a middle aged Canadian who well remembers Pierre Trudeau...I loved him. I truly love Justin too. He just seems sincere and much more accessible than the reclusive Harper. I hate Harpers stance on the north. He wants to EXPLOIT it, his words not mine. Tories always want to rape and pillage for a buck. It is not always the right answer. I usually think of Harper as the invisible PM> Don't seem him much. Especially in his first term. The tories under Mulroney raped the resources, power generation in Quebec! That is their answer.

You people are tools.. These politicians run nothing. The bankers run everything through the politicians. Our society is morally and ethically dead. Greed rules and lust of power blinds. We need enough government to take our taxes and provide us basic services.. Not sell off the god damn countries resources to their secret society buddies... We are slaves to this current system..

We need to be free from these greedy cock suckers.. I honestly pray for a world wide system collapse just to watch people wake up to the fact it was the bankers who raped our countries of their wealth.. And they will be strung up right along side of the bloodline politicians who have been enslaving us for eons..

I am an optimist and tend to see GOOD in people.

Canadians CAN'T possibly be that stupid. At least in England, they have a democraphic problem with all the Muslims and 3rd worlders screwing the electoral balance. Plus, Cameron/Osbourne's austerity is not really working all that well, so I can see Tories stock suffering (although they still have 2 years to turn things around)

Harper kicks ass on substance. Trudeaieaoex is just another Obama/Lapid celeb. Then again, that may be what makes him dangerous.
