The way it was explained to me was it is a sort of a repercussion ejector from impact as the moons crust is very thin, this is exaggerated by the low gravity and lack of erosion.

I saw craters...I do not see any recycling bins or garbage cans or even spheres...just craters.

That's going to show up on a map, if not then the maps are doctored

So we will give them a hall pass since they are new to this planet. What an ugly hunk of junk and to be positioned so close to beauty, earth, reminds me of mice and men.

Central peaks are a normal part of crater formation--nothing strange about them. In fact, my local s ken e museum has an experiment that lets you shoot a pinball into a small sandbox at different angles to see what happens... Guess what! Circular craters with central peaks apresult with almost any impact angle.
