Undertakers streak

wrestling is a soap operagod fucking damnit. it is not real at all. fuck fuck fuck you are smarter than that.

Don't you think most of us know that? However every now and again it's nice to step away from all the doom and chill out for a bit. It's not the sort of thing that you watch in the same way as say football.......

i sure hope they dont let that nobody cm punk beat the undertaker at wrestlemania. he should retire with the streak not broken. if he was to lose the streak why against punk? this is a new guy that was on ecw and he sucked on there also. i dont know why the story writers wrote him to be a champion when he was just a nobody. there are many stars that have been with the company since it was wwf that havent even been champ and deserve it. wanted to see taker vs lesnar or cena.

They're going to end the streak so the streak doesn't become bigger than the game itself.

As much as I would like to see it (big Punk fan) I can't see Taker losing the streak ever now. It's one of those things I think WWE will keep as a huge talking/celebratory point about Mania.

On a side note, I see Cena beating Rock then immediately losing to Dolphin Ziggler (cashing in the MITB)

The Undertaker, or 'Dead Man', as he is known, is largely representative of the wrestling antediluvial era when the stories were presented as real. One can see the expression of this in the modern 'Dead Man' insofar as he is presented as being almost otherworldly and possessed of seemingly supernatural powers.

CM Punk, however, is 'after the flood'. He is almost a wrestling pastiche of Beckett's 'everyman', but who is driven to succeed in order to make himself rise above his peers in station and not assuming an inherent right to his position.

On this basis, one believes that a fairer outcome would be for CM Punk to indeed beat the Undertaker, but not before being subjected to a level of pugilistic fury and arm-holds never before experienced.

This would assist with putting the Undertaker to rest and also help CM Punk cement himself as an icon of the modern era. Remember that, the modern era. The Undertaker simply does not represent the modern era and one opines that it is time for the modern younger talent to metaphorically take the bull by the horns and present themselves as the new wrestling icons.
