This is totally weird. My check engine light just went off by itself today after about a week of being on - AND during that time I kept getting static shocks when I'd get out of the car - in Houston. And every time it happened, I'd think it's odd, because I only remember getting static shocks when it gets cold and dry around here, which tends to be brief - it's been pretty humid lately. I didn't think of the two as being related until reading this thread.
