'Cheshire Police Authority virus' (Ukash Scam) How to Remove:
Remove Cheshire Police Authority virus (Ukash Scam)

The Cheshire Police Authority lock screen is a computer virus, which will display a bogus notification, that pretends to be from the United Kingdom Police (Metropolitan Police) and states that your computer has been blocked due to it being involved with the distribution of pornographic material, SPAM and copyrighted content.

The Cheshire Police Authority virus will lock you out of your computer and applications, so whenever you’ll try to log on into your Windows operating system or Safe Mode with Networking, it will display instead a lock screen asking you to pay a non-existing fine of £100 in the form of a Ukash or Paysafecard code.

Furthermore, to make this alert seem more authentic, this virus also has the ability to access your installed webcam, so that the bogus Cheshire Police Authority notification shows what is happening in the room.

If your computer is infected with Cheshire Police Authority virus, then you are seeing the below notification:

I got that a few months ago. Same Ukash demand, but it wasn't from Cheshire police, I think it was from Yorkshire if memory serves. I knew right away it was a scam. Got my mate to sort it while I was at work. Apparently, these scams are popular all over Europe, I remember reading at the time.

Ha! LoL.

I done been called me a redneck (karma) before now fer linkin' them thar vids in mah sig, you know. Don't bovva me none, though..

Actually, I'm proud of my involvement and association with the group. Great friendships exist within the group. Dear, valued friends. Plus, it gives me something to do in my spare time.

It's all a bit 'gimmicky' really...a deliberate attempt to revive the 'old ways'. We are all very much into local history, as well as engineering, local characters, etc.

If I was an American, I probably wouldn't mind being a redneck. Simple life, you know...if all you had to worry about was making moonshine, making music and looking up at the stars instead of the more pressing problems of how to earn a crust and keep body and soul together...LoL.

Anyway, glad you like the music (if you did). I just noticed this is your first thread, btw. Was you hit with that scam/virus that you posted about?
