A bad paraphrase of that scripture (from Psalms, I think!), but it illustrates the point being made from this thread.

Yes, we ARE commanded to pray for our leaders. We are not being obedient to the Lord, if we do not. Secondly, I DO bleieve God has the power to turn our leaders toward HIM, if we do our part and remain steadfast and obedient to His commands.

I will begin to pray for this president. I do not like him, I do not trust him, BUT (!) I DO trust my Lord.
