Yes originally I didn't want to debate what consciousness is because we are going beyond our means. The only real point I wanted to get across about consciousness is that everything is connected. How consciousness became conscious is a mystery and nobody knows. Quoting: Focused_Intent
Sorry, but I can't let this pass.
If you say that it is "beyond our means" and a "mystery" 'how consciousness became conscious', what do you say about the observation that consciousness began with the 'movement' of self-reflection?
To me, this is not a mystery at all.
This is not something that can be apprehended by thought, but it is
something that can be observed after the fact as having occurred.
And how anyone can say "nobody knows", I simply don't understand.
Would someone not have to ask every single
person now alive on earth the question before saying that nobody
And, even if you did that, are you also saying that no one will ever
Or is this something that will eventually be known, just not now?
