Cool video, OP. Magnets are always good shit! I'd have to say it's real. I only know that because of MONCH016. Consider:

absolutely real. Did it myself with a much smaller pipe and magnet. Also did it with the ring style magnet on the outside. Works just as well.

Lenz's law. As the magnet falls through the tube, it INDUCES a current and magnetic field, that then acts against the magnet falling through it, hence it slows down.
