there are NO BUDGET CUTS. they got the same ammount of money they got last year at the very least, plus some.

The budget is designed to grow every year. That is the way it is built. They shoot for 8% and they end up with 5% which is still 5% more than the previous year. They have everyone thing there was a cut when really there was an increase of 5%. So thats the previous years budget plus 5%.

Some of us still remember, right after Obama was first elected, when he was floating the idea that people in the Military Services should provide their own (private) health insurance (i.e., the Gubb'mint would send you anywhere for any reason, to die or get blown in half, and then SUDDENLY YOU would be responsible for paying for the insurance!). As if any insurance company would cover someone who was going into such a dangerous part of the World!! He actually couldn't understand why there was such an angry reaction from ACTUAL people who were (or had recently been) in the ACTUAL Military Service!!!!

The military budget is not shrinking it is still growing, he using the guise of sequestration to warn people while we have an internet and a forum to do so, anyone who says otherwise is working their own agenda or not willing to read between the lines, you realize people in the system are people with families they are doing what they can with the tools they have.

Not to derail the thread, but having worked in the Education business in my younger days, I can tell you that the School System works the same way. Ever wonder WHY, no matter how much they have gotten in the past, they are always coming at you the taxpayer for even MORE money "for the children"? It's because they MUST spend it all, or they won't get as much next year when everything from books to salaries will be even MORE expensive. Ask them "What happened to all of the other money we voted you over the years?" and you'll just get a blank look and they'll begin their "We need more!" litany once again.
