We have been in the "end times" since that time, but the end of time is not here just yet. There are still a couple things that have to happen first like the enforcement of the mark of the beast and the 7 last plagues. But let me tell you, they are not in the far distant future, however no one knows the exact day or time of the end. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1580547 That's your OWN stupid particular interpretation of the Bible. People like you existed by the hundreds, before and after 1844, with their own stupid particular interpretations of the Bible. You are not different of any of them. Every single "prophet" always claimed to have the "true" interpretation of the Bible, and so he was "sure" that the end was coming soon. EVERY SINGLE ONE FAILED. This time it's not different. Just a bunch of retards who think they are special, and think that the "end times" HAVE to happen during their lifetime... |

So the future generations can laugh of the "end times" prophecies that appeared EVERY SINGLE DECADE, and maybe the future generations will no longer be deceived by "end times prophets". |

But I'm sure that people thought the world was ending during the black plague. How could they not? |

"end times prophecies" existed before Christianity, and exist even in non-Monotheist religions... everyone wants to believe it... and everyone wants to see during their lifetimes... But I'm sure the world will still be around, and pretty "normal", in the year 8935 AD... |

Just considering vague ballpark time periods: The end can't come before Israel is recreated, but that did happen in 1948 (right on schedule for prophecy, BTW) Jews believe that the world cannot last more than 6,000 years and believe that the Messiah MUST come before their calendar reaches the year 6000 (around 2240 AD) The Maya clued us in to this time period when the winter solstice sun is closely aligned with the galactic center (roughly 1980-2018) with their Long Count ending in late 2012 allegedly marking the start of bad times. More specifically, there are astronomical references in the Bible repeatedly pointing to a wedding in the sky from 12/21/2019-12/28/2019. Could it all just be symbolic. I doubt it, but I could be wrong. I for one expect Judgment Day in late 2019, and I just wrote a 300+ page book on the subject, published last month. You (OP, and many others) may think I'm a doomtard but I know what I've discovered - and anyone who cares to learn more can check out my book and web site [link to www.amazon.com] [link to endtimesand2019.webs.com] |

Quoting: the end is NOT nigh 13146489 The "end times" will NOT happen during your lifetime. Sorry to tell you that. In the past 1900 years, EVERY SINGLE GENERATION had prophets claiming that the "end times" were close. Even during the 20th century there were several "prophecies" of the end times that were a FAIL. It happens because every generation thinks it is "special", and so, all generations have "prophets" claiming that "the end times are close" The reason is: people can't accept the fact that, after they die, life will go on as usual in the world That's why so many people want to believe that the "end times" will happen during their lifetime This is nothing new. It has always been like that. 1900 years ago, there were already people claiming that the Book of Revelation was already being "fulfilled", and the end times were very close to happen... Every single generation, the SAME thing happens. There are ALWAYS prophets claiming that "the end is nigh", and always people believing them. And don't think that "now the signs are clear". No, no, no, no... EVERY single prophet in the past has always claimed that "the signs now are very clear", and presented "proof" of their claims... EVERY single of them have FAILED. So, this generation is NOT special. It's just like every generation in the past 1900 years, believing that "the end is nigh" because they can't accept that life will go on as usual after they die. Sorry, the Apocalypse will NOT happen during your lifetime, you are NOT special, and life will go on AS USUAL after you die. OP - you don't know what you're talking about. Historically speaking, the determination as to who was a prophet was very precise. Some kook who says the end is nigh tomorrow day after day, is not a prophet of God. |
