I run a small retail business. I have to place some of my orders 6-8 months ahead of shipment. Each year the deadlines get earlier and earlier. They need to know months in advance because there are increasing labor shortages in China as the 20 somethings wake up and realize they want to live in the "western world" and refuse to work the factory jobs. Driving the cost of goods up.
The past two years I have seen a shift the other direction. This year especially. They are now extending their deadlines months past prior years. Begging for orders. I am very ambivalent about placing as many orders as I do usually this year. For them to be extending deadlines, and offering discounts on top of their normal ones lets me know that I am not the only one who is hesitant.
Also I have found that I am having to manufacture more and more of my product myself. I am very lucky to have the skills and ingenuity to do so.
Manufacturing needs to come back in the US. Stuff from china is not cheap anymore. I have found that my local grocery is just as cheap if sometimes not cheaper than Walmart. Heck I have even found cheaper items at WHOLE FOODS than Walmart recently.

After 6 weeks I had enough and just worked harder at the small business I helped my mom run at the time. Heck, why work at all when you can get it free with your EBT. Somebody's wife, kind of an odd name. You lack identity? Nope. I know myself fully. You don't know who my husband is. I am proud to be his wife. You are the one without a name at all. I am not the one hiding behind an AC. It also says something about who I am. I care about people other than myself.
