I Don't Know Whats Going On Cause I Passed Out All I hear is that, oh well! The people above 100K Euro will have a percentage stolen from them. That I guess is OK, they were all Russian criminals and fat cats, Bull S**T. How about businesses that have money in the banks, now they loose 40%, how is that good for the economy. And just the fact they are taking the money, I do not care that it is above 100k Euro and they are criminals and the fat cats, THIS IS JUST PLAIN THEFT AND WRONG! And who is to say that they will not come back and that money below 100k Euro. I wonder if the Cypriots get the relationship between the money and jobs. I believe there will be massive job loss, because businesses loose 40%, how can a business survive under this circumstance? This is also a plan to pump the markets. People will take their money out of the banks and they have to put it somewhere, and that somewhere is the stock market. What a brilliant scam. If we so not stand up to the banks and let them fail we are all doomed. Cyprus do what Iceland did. Please for the sake of your people Quoting: Firesim 36924074 Capital controls. No one is getting any money. Not even those with accounts under 100,000. |

I Don't Know Whats Going On Cause I Passed Out Perhaps Cyprus was the neutral Nation as far as banking identities was concerned, something more like the Swiss system than the model Cuba was before the US was expelled for the good of the people. It does show that the 'service offline' that has hit other areas were all practice runs for this the of operation where 'protect the (bankers) money' as the first 3 rules of a 3 rule system. Cyprus was not a spur of the moment operation, when it is all said and done the people get 3% of what the whole natural resources are worth. The deals may be the worth of the natural resources that might be claimed minus the cost that 'big oil' gets to develop said resources. In other places it was 85% off the top and getting cut to 70% was more than enough justification for a 30 year long hostile relationship. 70 is better than 0. What else could be taken away, private property being 'taxed' or some other similar levy against citizens and industry. FEMA International Edition, no broadband but it is the equivalent to CBC North Edition as far as messages are concerned. An open air prison doesn't need guards, just a few supply boats and a swimmers will be shot policy. Lebanon and Syria are still wildcards and the NATO will recognize the Med Sea as being in rebel hands and as such able to make deals on that same gas field off shore and any income is there to keep and internal rule will be the same as it is in Bahrain. Most coastal nations to the Med. Sea should fall to the same 'ruler' (international corporation whose only important shareholders are the bankers) Capital controls. I Don't Know Whats Going On Cause I Passed Out Take a simple gas station with a mini mart for instance. They have to buy thousands of gallons of gas at a time, and only make about 5 cents a gallon profit. They also need money to pay payroll, food, mortgage, equipment, taxes, water/sewer, and electric. They could actually be losing money hand over fist, and still have a couple hundred thousand in the bank to pay for these monthly expense. What happens when the government takes the payroll money? How do the employees get paid? How do they order more gas? How do they pay the utility bills? Or do they just close up shop en mass? They are destroying the entire infrastructure of Cyprus! |

I Don't Know Whats Going On Cause I Passed Out I predict that on thursday morning if they even open at 9:00 am that at 9:05 they are closed and out of money at every location including the ATM's Quoting: ZEROeffect Anyone want to doubt my predictive POWERS? If you do then your are doubting an angel that told my uncle! YOU don't want to doubt my uncle's angel do you? You would be right except that if the banks ever do open, they will still limit the amounts that can be withdrawn in any given day. The banks will try to drag this out. But ultimately you are right...the banks will be dry as a bone sooner or later. Meanwhile, Europeans will be watching and withdrawing money from their banks until they, too are dry. IOW dominoes. It's like Chinese torture: a slow drip, that drives the continent mad. Whether it takes a week, a month or two months, the end result will be the same. In the US, the Fed might try to create a huge amount of money, the result being that a small bag of rice costs $5 or $10. A pound of round beef could be $25 or $125 depending on how much the Fed prints. |

I Don't Know Whats Going On Cause I Passed Out How many ordinary Cypriots have more than 150K in their savings? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 36914006 The real people affected by the Cyprus situation are going to be offshore gangsters mainly from Russia. Criminals are going to be robbed. Some legitimate businesses will be affected. When banks open funds will not be able to leave the country. And when it does the criminals will find half of their assets gone. Hit lists will be created. It has been all over the media today that Russians have been able to withdraw their funds through a loophole which left banks linked to the Cyprus banks in other countries open and allowing withdrawal with no limits. One of these banks was even owned by the Russians. So maybe they thought they would fleece the Russian oligarchs, mafia etc. but they f'd up and now the people of Cyprus will pay. |
