That a man should contribute to the household. I compared it to a company that has share holders. I told him right now I am the president, because I hold most of the stock. My boys hold the other shares, because of their late father (SSI), and my husband holds no shares, he does not contribute to the board Quoting: skyblau ouch you have children there too? girl kick him out now. bad temper drinks no job. why the fuck are you asking us you can't see you either have brain damage or his is rubbing off on you...wouldn't you rather be alone and happy? |

Some, er, most women drive men to drinking, ya know? BS. Men who drink too much were drinkers before any woman ever came along. They fake it long enough to get a steady woman, and then they go back to drinking and moaning and groaning, fucking up, and damaging everything from people to property. Then, they blame the woman. That's how it really works. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 37202981 United States 04/04/2013 08:51 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Just another update, my husband has been trying to go through my kids to get me to let him come back. He promised them presents. I can't believe he would try that. I am happy I didn't give in to the pressure. I am enjoying the peace. I actually feel happier the last few days. I can't really say that I missed him. My boys though, they do, and I know that will ease with time. They can overlook his behavior more than I ever could. I am doing fine. Thank you for all you good folks who have been there and done that, and support my decision. I still need to remember when I am not feeling so angry at him, that I won't give in. I can't do that. I have to be stronger this time. I have separated before, and took him back before. I don't want to do that this time. |

Now move on and try not to get with the same guy in different skin. I'm not sure why but you didn't seem to want to hear about Al-anon or Celebrate Recovery but both of those places will help you with like minded individuals who are just like you, going through the same things you are going through and they give their experiences strength and hope. Sometimes you meet some very supportive women. Best of luck. It is always better to be alone than with a jerk. Your sons will grow up like him if they are shown his example and you don't want that. I wish you peace. But Lord, he stinketh! :fnecsm: "When the sky crackles in an electric dance of a beautiful requiem of lapis lazuli, maybe you will remember..." ~ Anonymous Coward 77360040 |

He is staying with my friend, so he keeps me updated on my husbands "progress", which is nil. He did get a job, but he met a "friend" who is into all sorts of bad habits, and my friend is deeply concerned about what he got himself into. I told him if he goes back to his old habits, he needs to throw him out. I promised him I would not under any circumstances take him back in. This time I am finally done. He may end up on the street, but he has every chance and opportunity to get it together, but he refuses to. Why do some people seem stuck in making bad choices? I can't comprehend it at all why he would go back to his old habits, when my friend is putting in every effort to help him get on his feet, and get his life together. I have learned from this though, he doesn't want to change, and the bridge is burned for good. If he gets on here and reads this, I hope he does. All I have to say is, "I will never let you come back, because you never learn. I am disappointed, that you don't accept my friends help to get on your feet. If you get thrown out, because of your new friend that is definitely a bad influence on you, you burn your own bridges. I am not stupid enough to fall for your begging that you have no where to go, and the next time you bribe my kids to convince me to let you come back, I doubt I will ever let you visit with my boys again. Why should I? What kind of role model are you? What kind of father figure are you for them? They deserve better, and so do I. I refuse to waste another year of unhappiness hoping you will change." So maybe he will read it. You never know. |

So if she starts yacking at some dude I dissappear and find a cute 21 year old to talk to. Later she comes up and is like who the F is this? Then she gets pissed and turns I to a bitter bitch. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 30575348 We go home and fight and her female brain is incapable of computing that what is good for the gander is also good for the goose. Double standards are perfectly acceptable to her. And she especially gets pissed if the girl is cuter than she is. I simply tell her don't go yapping to guys and I won't let some young chick entertain me. For whatever reason that pisses her off. Women are like selfish children. You are typical macho guy with that attitude. Your flaw is even bothering to go back home with a woman that flirts with other men in front of you. Just imagine what she does when you are not around. It seems that both men and women find being a "player" nowadays is the cool thing to do and that its being sexually "liberated". Combine preconceived notions from mass media and passed traumatic experiences and they will justify any actions of theres to commit adultery. |

SunnyDaze User ID: 25635188 United States 04/08/2013 01:40 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | My husband got really drunk and pissed off last night. Today he is begging me to buy him some beer. I said NO. I did the emotioncons to visually show him why I don't want him to drink. He stormed out and went fishing. Quoting: skyblau are you saying he beats you when hes drunk?! cuz you look cute as hell and that would make me feel bad :( He pulled a knife on me a couple times, but my late husband taught me how to take a knife away from someone. I quickly grabbed it from him. He is mean nonetheless. He is worse when he drinks. As soon as he gets a job, and some money saved, I am going to get him out. don't wait - get out before he comes home drunk! the State will provide you "shelter" and help you get back on your feet ... throw his sorry ass in jail for attempted murder (pulling a knife on you) get a restraining order so he can't come close ... and divorce him ASAP so that answers your question ... What happens when your spouse drinks too much - they end up divorced ! never forget that drinking and what you drink is a CHOICE - if he chooses to be a drunk, and you enable him - then YOU become the source of his drunkenness |

No, it's not free... but neither was T4L for the 5 years that we used it! $169/year I seem to remember. Maybe there was a free option, but honestly I think you get what you pay for. The problem with T4L is that the number of subjects dwindles each year (down to just 3 or 2 by grade 8!), and they don't go past grade 8. So once my son reached high-school age, we had to look for alternatives. EK12 has subject matter sourced from the same places it seems, except a lot more subjects (students choose 6 out of what they offer) and better put together. EK12 also provides a diploma/school record at the end of it, and has teachers available to guide students and grade writing assignments. |

g0v User ID: 33902406 South Korea 04/09/2013 02:06 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | EK12 offers 3 levels of service. Level 1 is coursework only; Level 2 is coursework with a real teacher there to guide the student and grade written work; level 3 is physical attendance. We chose Level 2, which costs $150 per month, and Level 1 is less of course. This may sound like a lot, but it works out at just $5 a day. In return you avoid all of the costs of sending your child to school, buying books, and hours of your time spent personally supervising, grading, and going through homeschooling books with your child(ren). Yes, T4L is cheaper. But you get what you pay for: There is no supervision, no monitoring of progress, no diploma, no school record at the end of it. They also use a cut-down curriculum which by Grade 8 provides no education aside from English and Math (2 subjects!) I couldn't believe how they narrowed down the curriculum in Grades 6, 7 and 8. I don't work for EK12... I'm just very impressed by their system and the people behind it. It was so refreshing to see a good spread of subjects on offer again. Like you perhaps, I went into panic mode once T4L was no longer an option and had a heck of a time finding something good. |

Not that he was good for me, just loss of having a partner. I know I am going to be "ok". I hope that other glpers who have dealt with similar are strong enough to leave too. It is hard, real hard. The thing that has helped me most is my good friends, I don't think I would have had the courage to get this far, if it hadn't of been for all my friends. Anonymous Coward User ID: 6492821 United States 05/04/2013 07:45 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Well, its been awhile, so I am throwing in an update. My ex has been staying with my friend for awhile til yesterday. My friend made him move out to some roach infested fly by night motel. Here is the thing, he is so mad at him, he says if he finds him, he is going to hurt him. I won't go into the reason why. I told my friend that my ex tends to make his own bad karma, not to go retaliating. I realise he needs an ass whooping but, I wonder if he will cool his head or go too far with it. Here I find myself worried on both sides. This is what happens when people drink. It becomes a wrecking ball tearing people to shreds. Not good, not good. |
