I just got my notice from my health insurance provider...another 16% premium increase this year, and I've had this policy for over seven years and never met my deductible...

From all indication; Obama Care was and is being created by the new world order illuminuti bankers; who own and rule Obama; for 2 important reasons. One is to make sure that the nations people are more deprived of their survival and to bring us down economically. And to eventually insert their mark of the beast chip which talks about implantables in the 1500 page Obama Care.

Claims are already increasing, a simple office visit just cost me $335.00. This used to be a $ 20 co-pay, I would say that's more than a 32% increase...

Being a doc myself, the answer is yes you are a fast food customer, due to the high cost of overhead and diminishing insurance reimbursements since the late 90's we have to see 3-4 times as many patients to break even (my particular field is even worse because we dont have alot of billable codes to use per daily patient visit so we are hurt even harder), so you get seen quickly if we catch something major you are luckily passed to the next provider in a round robin fashion in the hopes they will nail it down. Individual private practices are at huge risk so you are milled through like cattle to ensure we dont lose our entire world through bankruptcy. Sorry but that is what insurance carriers have done to this profession that used to be based on trade and a handshake in the 1800's. I hate it so very very very much, but my student loans, practice loans, and necessity to provide employment to my staff take precedent if it didnt you wouldnt even have offices to visit. Word to the wise we are fucked way beyond repair.

Actuaries can go to hell. The only thing they are trained to do is to turn human beings into commodities that they squeeze every possible cent from. The whole health care system in the United States is corrupt. Obamacare will only make it worse.

Missing in the arguments of health care and what should have been done with it is the fact that health care , in the past, had never been a 'for profit' practice. Get the insurance companies out of it period and the administrations within the system and return it to associations of practioners to deal with. That cuts out so much useless fat in the system and makes for competitive service. You lose the "red tape" end of it which consumes so many of the dollars.

We tax payers subsidize the pharmeceutical industry and in exchange for that 'they' should contribute to reducing the costs of educating our doctors and nurses and add more to the health care industry.

We could stimulate more self funded groups of insurance like subsidizing it as well.

No, with capitalism, you pay for what you want. And can afford. With socialism everybody gets vanalla, regardless of what they can afford.

And everyone I know as well, not a single one is proud of it, they go to work with a demoralized look of worry for the future but keep plugging away because they are locked on a death spiral they cannot get off of especially the new generations of graduates.

If I had to do it over, I would have just returned to being a janitor (my favorite job I ever did in life). Or opened a dance studio to teach people how to get down and be funky for a living. Worst mistake of my life, but occasionally I do see some life changing results and feel good, ohhh but then comes the billing of the patient for that little miracle, then I go back to being sad again.

However back to the original poster who was quoted, leaving a scathing review of a doctor who cant resolve your minor health issue does not hurt them one iota. Your health is your responsibility, not theirs, they are placing band aids on the guaranteed fact you will detoriate and die. They toe a daily line between good care and malpractice with every decision. I hear plenty of complaints from patients about horrible decisions made on their behalf, I have made a few of my own. You cannot hit home runs daily, alot of foul tips in this game. Some do well others get buy, and plenty are quacks. Plus in this society their a million sick folks just like you who will take your place, negative comments used to bother us, then we stopped giving a shit and realized this is survival society time not do an amazing job 100 percent of the time. The population of docs are overworked, manipulated for disability and handicap parking benefits by patients, scammed for personal injury and workers comp claims by faking patients, manipulated for pain killers to suit patients addictions. We are lucky if we get appreciative patients who dont treat us like a server at Denny's. So it is a snake eating its own tail. We do what we have to do to survive, maintain an income, not risk or licences, and not burn out within 5 years of practice.

Communicate with your provider let them know in a nice genuine tone your issues, we tend to shut down when we get the first whiff of discontent. We didnt go to school for 8 years with 200 grand in professional debt to put sprinkles on your ice cream for you.

You're confusing the low information voters...they don't know what a percent is.

I don't know anybody personally that can afford to cash for health care.
