While that is true...
In the time of the bible (as it is still common in many cultures) divorce is hurtful to the status of both the man and the woman's families.
So they are not to divorce... BUT THEY ARE ALLOWED TO "TAKE ON" NEW "WIVES" AND "HUSBANDS" JUST NOT IN A FORMAL MARRIED SENSE.
