My "guess" would be the next thing that comes out is going to be our Alien Brothers - who've been visiting/living here for years with the full knowledge and consent of our government - are going to be introduced to the nation and we're going to be told of their wonderful plans to save the environment, the planet, the avoidance of sure-to-come doom, and of course all we have to do is get onto their ships and let them airlift us out of here to "paradise" aka HELL. Because of course they are demonic entities and their ships don't run to other star systems & other planets but to other dimensions. We as a species use most of our technology for war.
Sad but true.
After a time that war driven urge creates more peaceful levels of use.
From airplanes to atomic power to the internet-ARPAs version.
War,conquest,wealth are the human motivators.I believe we are wired that way.
In time,technology may increase where it is going to be virtually impossible to be violent against another.Imagine a graphene shield that makes you bullet,knife proof.Or an electrical shield that stops all manor of weapons.

This type of tech is far off no doubt,but its in the realm of probability,as is nano medical bots that kill bacteria and cancer cells,unblock arteries etc.

IMHO the goal of the ETs is to set us on a path that results in not just technological breakthroughs,but also psychological and spiritual ones.We learn that violence has no benefit and we can then use our resources to gain a greater tech without the war motivator.

If the US defense budget were used solely for quality of life and technology,we would have a planet that knew no hunger,disease or poverty.

The fact that we do not use those resources in a positive way is not the fault of EBEs,but of mankind in general.
