Could you imagine though? Another ten years of eating just vegetables? I would probably put a bullet in my head after about the second week of a vegetarian diet.

Linda McCartney died at 56 of cancer. She was fiercely vegetarian. Plenty of other vegetarians have died early from diseases.

On the other hand, I've known quite a few people who lived into their late 90s and some over 100, the oldest being 106. Not one of them was vegetarian.

thats your loss, you can have your bland boild meat, the vegetarians can have all of the tasty herbs and spices.

If you are just boiling your meat you are doing it wrong. Also, has anyone ever salivated over a carrot the way people do over a nice steak? I think not.

Vegetarians cannot fight. What if somebody attacks them or kills them.

Meat or protein fuels in the strength to fight.

You will never be able to convince an American to stop eating bacon, it's the same as trying to convince a pig to stop rolling in the mud, he will keep doing unless there's no mud, duh.

I forget where I read it, but there was this story online about a man who lived to be 168 years old back in the 1600's in England.

He lived through the life's of 10 Kings and the current King at the time invited him to the palace to honor his long lifespan. Apparently he credited his long life to eating simple foods or something.

But after a huge feast, the old man died in his sleep and the King felt guilty thinknig it was the rich foods that killed him and he had him buried in a tomb with Royalty. Like I said I can't remember where I read this. I assume it has to be mostly fictional, but pretty cool if half way true.
