They know that GMO is a dangerous game and they want to make sure they dont suffer any consequences when your children start dying off in the long term future. If you are American and are stupid enough to have a facebook,at least try to redeem yourself by spreading the word via FB. |

Monsanto has done the research and is scared to publish the results, they know GMO products are a danger and have no place here on Earth. So instead of ceasing GMO production, what they do is spend a shit ton of money to pass a law that will nullify any future court repercussions. This company started off as a fucking weed killer and now if will produce every product you consume. First they made it law that they arent required to label GMOs and now its law that they can do whatever harm to humans and the environment they desire for profit. I am afraid most GLPers are desensitized to horrid news and will brush this off as another headline. When youre old and dealing with prostate issues, this will be another thing you will regret sweeping under the carpet. |

It is his fault that he spoke out of both sides of his mouth when saying he wouldn't let this become a law and then signs it. Your whole government (Republicans and Democrats) have betrayed you and sold you all out. This would happen no matter who was in the White House. It's affecting my country too as it's here as well. |

They could have 3 million sigs and that POS would still have signed it. Nothing surprises me anymore about the MFing POS. thanks for posting...pin suggest (btw - your title should include "yet again") |

I have no idea what it's in and what foods I can eat that it is not in. It's just that no one should get a free pass on this. We've been betrayed by all factions of the government. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 754536 United States 03/28/2013 06:37 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Now you know why the gay marriage issue has been shoved up front with a vengeance. Everybody, including GLP'rs, was arguing the narrative given them by tptb while monsanto is allowed total immunity by law. I have no hope that the unaware will learn anything from this, and slightly more than none that those who are supposedly awake will either. Red herring is red herring. The hand you see waved in your face is not the one wielding the knife that you will find in your back. It's no wonder we will lose this war. We make it too easy for them. |

Using the deceptive title of Farmer Assurance Provision, Section 735 of this bill actually grants Monsanto immunity from federal courts pending the review of any GM crop that is thought to be dangerous. Under the section, courts would be helpless to stop Monsanto from continuing to plant GMO crops that are thought -- even by the US government -- to be a danger to human health or our cherised environment. There is certain to be almost immediate legal action from multiple fronts which will hit the mainstream media headlines. For the first time in decades, Americans will have to give serious consideration to the food supply they are consuming from and hopefully begin a brave new moment in grassroots activism. I guess not many Americans browse GLP because 13 days prior to this being signed, I posted a link where you could petition this act and I think like 3 people responded. If you are American and saw that post and took no action, then I guess that means you deserve nothing less than what we will see in the future with our food. No, not quite. I saw and read it, but like most people know that no matter what "We the People" want, need, require has NO effect on what Obama does. Until he does do it, there is nothing we could do. Now that he has done it, forced the issue upon us, we can now take action. It is much like the court system. We can not do anything until it is done. Then we can act to end it. Since Monsanto is already protected until early summer by laws attached to the senate bills, no action could be considered by the courts until such bills are passed, rejected, or refused consideration. |

All you had to do was put your name down. And thats what mattered the most. The number in the articles says $250,000 opposed the law. And I wonder how many people like you decided it wouldnt be worth putting their name down? If that number were 500,000 it would enrage people who found out later that the goverment is ignoring so many people. Its not about making the change from putting your name down alone, obviously. Its about representing what you believe. That number has made it into many articles, so why would it not matter to make it as larger as possible? |
