Why Do People Hate On Walmart? | |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 36876191 United States 03/28/2013 10:57 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | they can boycott it all they want as most know these boycotters are a bunch of hypocrits, swilling starbuk$ and carrying on about bs etc. they have NO PROBLEMS with their chicom slaves making their cell phones, laptops etc. they love to hold up i_key_uuuh/coscO etc as the epitome of social restructuring. walmart over here NEVER has those people dressed like gawd knows what, massively overweight 1s,fights etc. store is clean, well stocked and staffed and pleasant. always shoppers BUYING. staff seems to be either retirees adding to their social insecurity income or ENTRY LEVEL 1st time_ers getting experience. no slaves. prices are OK and there is no fear of bumping into the wrong person etc. in this zipcode we also have HEB and dollar general. and of course the internet to search for a needed DEAL as time permits. no one is either forced to shop there or WORK THERE- it's a wonder ANY foreign owned and run dollar store doesn't make their braindead heads EXPLODE but then again... just points right back to the fact that they're ALL a bunch of hypocrites as a bs artist has the skill to pull this crap off and keep it running. they don't. |

This is whT I hate about Walmart, they don't care if they carry dollar store merchandise and try to knock it off for a decent piece by asking a fair price.... I don't go there to browse and buy compulsively for that reason. I only go there to buy a specific item because all Walmart is, is an oversized dollarstore with regular merchandise too, so its really fucking confusing and a shitty deal, because they have no pride in thier product lineups.. 90% crap from the dollar store marked up 900% |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1411797 Id rather dig coal from an underground mine in old england. They choose to work there though... Not like they couldn't find another retail job. There are tons out there at the right time. They supply crappy manufactured products at a low price. That's their strong point, is the low prices. People are just too dumb to realize half of the stuff at Walmart will break the first time you use it. Personally I like to support my local businesses who supply superior products any ways. |

Living in rural america, I have seen walmart, time and again, open in a small town offering rock-bottom prices that the local mom and pops cant compete with. Once mom and pop are done, prices at walmart rise significantly. Now the folks in town dont have mom and pop to work for and they're stuck. It's legal, it's free enterprise, it's capitalism, and it's as unethical as it can be. Things are what they are. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 33676055 Exactly, if you work in a poverty job you cant expect to be treated with respect by your peers, that's not how the world works. Nobody is forced to work at Walmart, if they don't like working there because of the way the business is run and how they treat associates, then leave! Everybody who works at Walmart chooses to work there... Everybody who works at Walmart chooses to work there... Yeah they choose to work there instead of not having a job or fighting for what little they could live on if they could get unemployment. There's about 50 people fighting for any one job opening in my town. Everyone I know works at walmart, tries to find scrap metal to sell or is trying to get some sort of state benefits. I'm sure that where you are, op, there are probably more jobs, but in small towns where walmart's concerned...it's a gold mine for giving people shit hours shit pay and if they slip up once it's big brother and they're cancelled. i don't see much choice in the matter at least where small towns are concerned...and don't think it won't hit bigger cities soon enough. if you shop there, you will waste money, walmart is perfect for our up and coming youth encouraging laziness. oh excuse me "convenience". that girl. |

Prices rise everyday, it's called inflation. Why would Walmart drive up the prices of their products and force customers who have little money to spend on groceries to buy less items? It does not make any sense! I don't mind paying companies like Walmart more for products to support a more ethical business model but that would hit our poor citizens the hardest and I doubt Walmart are going to ostracize their biggest customer base after running a few mom and pop stores out of business.
