Since the act’s passing, more than 250,000 people have signed a petition opposing the provision and a rally, consisting largely of farmers organized by the Food Democracy Now network, protested outside the White House Wednesday. Not only has anger been directed at the Monsanto Protection Act’s content, but the way in which the provision was passed through Congress without appropriate review by the Agricultural or Judiciary Committees. The biotech rider instead was introduced anonymously as the larger bill progressed — little wonder food activists are accusing lobbyists and Congress members of backroom dealings.

Great article - I've already shared this with family. If we do not STAND UP NOW and PROTEST, it's over for this country. EVIL corporations have been given a free pass to poison the entire country.

If our food supply is poisoned, this doesn't just affect a few, it affects EVERYONE, even the elite. TPTB may think that they can avoid the GMO foods, but somewhere, at some point, the elite will consume the GMO food as well.

We are going to the grocery store to buy POISON. If GMO is not enough, we have MSG, High Fructose Corn Syrup (as mentioned in another post). By the way, MSG (Monosodium Glutamate) causes a rapid heartbeat.

Even Mayo Clinic is claiming that research is not backing up the symptoms of MSG (who is their boss?)

Can someone direct me to the part of the bill I should be looking at? The words GMO, Monsanto, or even genetically or modified in the context of GMO's don't appear anywhere in it. The bill is agriculture something, but at 240 pages I'm not interested enough to read the whole thing. Here's a link to the bill for anyone curious whats contained in it.

There are a thousand threads on GLP about walking away - it's as simple as not expecting anything of value from TPTB and making a decision not to comply. Stop being a victim and start becoming ruggedly independent. Know your food and water. Become as anonymous as possible, as much as possible.

Take the attitude that you are starting on a path of independence - that only your freedom is important.

Know the rules but stop asking for permission.

While it may be important to know what this rogue power structure does, it is more important no to react to it or give it any power over your life.

Lets see, in the house of representatives the republicans voted in favor of it 203-27 and the democrats also voted in favor of it, but at a measly 115-82.

Although for the sake of fairness I'll point out the results were reversed in the senate. With republicans actually voting against it 20-25. And the democrats almost all voted for it with an astounding 51-1

I want to share something that goes along with this "GMO Outrage".

For several years, I have tried to warn my friends and family about what is coming in the government. Warning them about the draconian legislation, Monsanto, surveillance society, wars for oil, the corruption, etc.

When I was on FB (finally deleted my account), I would post news item after news item about the corruption in the US government. A few times, some of them would comment, but it was mostly silence.

As long as the majority of Americans continue to place their faith in Beyonce and Jay-Z, the Kardashians, the Pope, Benny Hinn, Tom Cruise, Al Gore, Obama, the Clintons, the Bush family, American Idol, Dancing With the Stars, iPads, iPhones, Coach Handbags, credit cards, gay marriage, the next religious movement.....you name it.....

PEOPLE WILL NEVER WAKE UP. It's as though the majority of the electorate are in a coma. Even when you try to open their eyes, they stare at you as though you're crazy.

It's really, really, really frustrating. Nobody wants to talk about it. Many of us woke up years ago and are trying to alert those around us; but it's as though people enjoy the deception. I just don't understand it.

GMO companies fuck you up and big pharma and the medical companies are there waiting with open doors to put us on medication for the rest of our lives. The Gov really have made an excellent money making chain there, at our expense.

Not trying to get off-topic or detour the subject matter, but I'll add one more to that. The medical community refuses to deal with menopause or peri-menopause, so they created Fibromyalgia in order to have an ailment for dispensing anti-depressants. What a massive boost to Big Pharma.

Just about every female friend I have in her 40's and 50's has been given the diagnosis of Fibromyalgia....and they're actually going through the menopause stage. And, they are all on anti-depressant drugs. ALL OF THEM. I flat-out refused it and told my GYN that anti-depressants will not cure the problem, but just cover up the symptoms.

He finally admitted to me (and I couldn't believe he said this), that "sometimes it's just easier to prescribe a pill".

It's not rocket science if people would pay attention. It's part of the female life cycle.

Yes the GMO prop failed, but not because of the labeling part. It was full of other corporate bullshit that the people werent ready for. We just want them to go back and do it right.

We didnt pass the Marijuana legal thing either but not because we dont want weed legal. We failed that one because it, too, had too much bullshit in it.

They need to make these props simple and not have 25 other laws built into them.
