the dream is faulty, a laptop in water would not electrocute you.

so rest assured there is nothing to it.

i wouldnt worry about dying in dreams - i had one in my teens where i was shot with a musket in some civil war type conflict. i died and rose out my body and floated away looking down at self.

kinda cool really and was over 30yrs ago now.

Re: Dream interpretation request - my first dying dream
This morning, after I got my daughter off to school, i went back to sleep for about an hour and had this disturbing dream.

The dream begins with me taking a bath, but I am fully clothed. Black sweats, black hoodie and black boots (my usual lounge-around-the-house attire). I think to myself that its strange that I am wearing clothes in the tub. But, I am not in there to get clean. I must be soaking...

My daughter yells up from downstairs, "Mom?" (she is wondering where I am)
I yell down, "I am in the tub."

Next thing I see is my laptop perched on a table next to the tub. It begins to slide down and the right corner of it gets into the water. I grab it and immediately realize I am being electrocuted. I think "oh no" and "that was stupid to grab it".

I feel the electricity grab hold of me and I am dying and I should pound my fist on the side of the tub so my daughter can hear me, but I can't move. I feel myself dying, slipping into black, knowing that nobody will hear.

I wake.

sidenote: i am not a bath person. i am strictly a shower person.

this dream is giving me the creeps. any interpretation is appreciated. never had a dying dream before.

once, when i was nine years old, my grampa took me to visit a horse farm. i am a city kid and had never been to the country. anyway, while grampa was talking with his farmer friend, i mosey over to the electric fence and put my hands right on it. it grabbed hold of me (the eletricity) and i couldn't move. grampa came over and cut me loose.

i could feel that same electric shock feeling only greatly intensified.

some dreams you can literally feel the pain....

2 weeks ago i dreamed about asteroids [of all things] and one blew up near me.... so close that it burnt my face.... I remember looking at myself in the mirror in the dream and seeing half my face burnt with my left eye melted shut!

It felt like I was burning for real....I woke up in a puddle of sweat!

what would be interesting, now you know a laptop would not electrocute you in this way due to the low voltage from the transformor (box) onwards when you dream again does the dream get changed?

maybe try it? recall the feeling as you fall asleep next.

helicopter crash - that would be an epic dream i would be annoyed to wake up with no memory of lol

Wow, Salt, what a dream! I think GLPollack gave some really good insight on this one.

As a side note, I have off and took a nap this afternoon, had pretty startling dreams, too. Wonder if anything is going on with the Earth's electromagnetic field or anything? Sometimes fluctuations bring out some really strange dreams for me. Just a thought. hf

nah, nothing like that. it feels like something dark is going on in my inner- or sub-conscious life, like some faulty thinking or distorted thoughts about something and it is manifesting itself this way. almost like i have some deep, inner pain that i haven't dealt with and i would like to raise it to my consciousness so i can deal with it appropriately and cut her loose. knowhatimean?

ok, interesting that you mention this.....
especially electrocution...
im noticing especially in los angeles...massive towers...electro towers....almost looks frankenstein (tesla)like........as you drive the freeways you'll notice it...at certain points they are being placed....like at the gates of cities.................well my point is....would they try to contain using towers such as these...say something does come into affect like rfid or someother method....

but from your dream it seems you are dead(in dream....)realizing how you died...when your daughter called out...you being upstairs.....

I'm usually the pilot.....and crash because of bad weather...

I used to have them all the time when I was out of work....

when you are the pilot they signify losing control of your life..being fearful of losing a grip on priorities...

I think I have only dreamed about flying a helicopter where it did not crash maybe once or twice out of hundreds of dreams...

I think dreams is where we connect with our alternate selves in parallel universes. The current theory is that the Higs Boson attains mass when it interacts with the membrane that makes up this universe. I have a feeling that a certain part of us acts in this manner when are in REM sleep and thus enter parallel universes.
