Push to legalize marijuana gains momentum
AUGUSTA (WGME) -- 35 Maine lawmakers are co-sponsoring a bill to regulate marijuana like alcohol. The bill was filed on Tuesday. It would make the private possession and home growing of limited amounts, legal for adults 21 and older.

Supporters say regulating marijuana like alcohol will take sales out of the underground market and will generate millions in tax revenue and allow law enforcement to focus on serious crimes. .... [link to www.wgme.com]

It is already a cluster fuck here in California. All of the dispensiries are using cash only so they can cheat on their taxes.

why should they take a bad cheque? California is granola country - fruits, nuts and flakes. Screw their bogus paper.

Among those who oppose the legalization of marijuana are the prison-corporate complex, drug dealers/cartels, and alcohol manufacturers, and probably the military since marijuana tends to make people more pacifist.

They need to, the IRS is screwing them over. Even though many/most were paying their taxes the IRS decided that since marijuana was still illegal under federal law that anyone filing with the IRS was not entitled to ANY deductions.

Actually, I heard that since Marijuana is still prohibited by federal law no bank , including credit cards, can do business with dispensaries. They have no choice but to deal in cash only.

That's probably true, but the real reason???

No paper trail....therefore no prosecution for sales and distribution.

Re: Push to legalize marijuana gains momentum
The real reason they won't legalize it is that cannabis' many non-toxic medical uses for pain, nausea, anxiety, and depression would undermine the toxic, phony, ineffective, ripoff, mind destroying, deadly poison pills and vaccines evil big pharma is pushing on the sheeple and public through never-ending, DISGUSTING, TV propaganda ads and MSM junk science. Weed = superior and safe, Mr. High was also saying it grows new neural pathways in the brain, increasing creativity and intelligence, while having a perfect 70,000 year safety record. Totally natural, and so safe that it is impossible to overdose. The globalists want the public sick, scared, full of depression, pain, and toxic chemicals. Fuck them.
