Time Travel Using The Mind (Video)
A great scientific exploration of using the mind to travel through time. People apparently have done this without knowing that they have. Interesting video here: [link to thedcpost.com]

I can't listen to it, what's it saying to illicit an eyebrow raise from you?

I'm going to go find the "Feeling the Future" paper to see what it has to offer, and link it here.

I haven't listened to it yet, the eyebrow is my "gonna watch this when I can" smilie...lol

Piqued my curiosity mostly because of this...

People apparently have done this without knowing that they have.

The truth ringing in that...

I see it all the time around me, when people (in hindsight) recount their stories leading up to events and can confirm their prediction of events only to self berate later as if they had caused the event rather than just sensed waht was about to occur.

Yes, backtracing is always interesting...really, though, about the thinking they had caused the event, instead of perceiving it? Huhn. I don't think I've heard that before.

Anyway, I'll listen to the vid later on my friend's phone. I'm already itchin' to pin the thread, but I really should hear it first.

Yet, even without listening to it I am wondering how sensationalized the title is...it seems the author of the vid would have to be redefining the term 'time-travel', to get around what it is to begin with: extra-sensory perception.

Time travel is most often conceived of as the body physically traveling to another time...the whole body, with all five senses in tow and working. And while time does seem to slip away during psi and ESP events, the body does stay stationary.

Idk, maybe I'm being too picky...lol, or I should listen to it first.

Well there's always the importance over physical material in comparison to what happens "in our head"...we always associate the physical as more real.

Which is probably the reason time travel is thought more to be about physical transportation to another time and being more real than say remote viewing or mind traveling.

After just having a nifty little, stomach turning, psi-time travel experience, *urp*, charlie I've quickly come to the conclusion that time travel done with the body would be very hard on the body.

Psi time traveling is the more efficient way to "ride the loop". Taking R&D time and effort, and vast amounts of funding into account, at multiple levels it's more efficient.

But, yeah, the empirical nature of most of our sciences excuses such the efficiency right out of the hat.

It would require a speed that the physical body can not tolerate, literally.

Think about what it takes physically for a pilot to maintain brain function at mach speeds...

Saganesque...via Contact.

I know it was just a movie, yet it does do a good job of laying out the difficulties of mechanical/physical time travel (just the bureaucracy alone, a nightmare). It also made the point that while an experience occurred, 18 hrs. worth, time and the body didn't didn't miss a beat in the material world.

I also know that some of my OBEs - ones I call soul journeys - aren't unlike hers in the movie, and had before the movie (so it's not a suggestive source for me). From what others say here and there, them too...and we're just sitting on our couches, or by a tree, or wherever is convenient.

Gawd...I think I just need something interesting to talk about for a change, and I'm just prattling on.

I'm going to go find something constructive to do...chuckle vacuum something.

I love it when you prattle on!

I can't tell you how many times I've come back from places knowing I've been somewhere else but not fully knowing the extent as to the reality of some of it. I know people say movies are all about brainwashing and such but that movie was the first time I kind of recognized the significance of how our perception of the world isn't just "in our heads".

Led to many more openings of thought so in my case that movie was a good sphere of influence...

the imagination OF IT is interesting (at least in my head :D)
one thought was there

implicating that our cells with over 10.000 volts at disposal
can influence vacuum density around the body via our weak, but real electromagnetic field we are producing

it is a sum of many fields of our organs
we unconsciously read in it, named it intuition

it is like a visit card of you
some of us can feel it more
some have stronger impacts, but dont know what it was

fields, fields
we can change them!

I attended. a mystery school and the psychic who taught me about my psychic abilities said this was very much real and she prefers not to time travel but to create any future event towards her benefit. this of course would mean that we are living in prophecy

If they are attracted by means of force = Rosen Bridge
If they are attracted by natural means = Star Gate
?
Are these plausible conclusions.

I'm not a physicist, so I wouldn't be able to come to a scientific proof type of conclusion like you're asking.

When my awareness is traveling I don't have thoughts about a Rosen Bridge or a Star Gate. I don't build these things in my mind in preparation. I would say 95% of my experiences have been spontaneous.

The only reason I've been able to call, or have chosen to call, the traveling medium a "wormhole" is because it really has appeared and felt like I'm zoom-zooming through a contained stream...like water running through a pipe. That's as close as I get to applying scientific terms to the experiences...frankly, the experiences leave science in their dust, so to speak, when they happen. So effortless.

It does seem to me that if psi travel is going to happen it's going to be because of both an attraction of forces - two "x points" having a complimentary consciousness signature - and through natural means...acceptance and/or belief such traveling is possible.

So, as you see, I'm not the best person to ask about the science of psi time traveling..."consciousness signatures" and belief are at best anecdotal wherein most of science is concerned.

Hey! Thanks for all the thoughtfulness your post brought me, though!

I too see that scientific terms and ideals are limiting, restricting, and entrapping. They tend to have a seemingly linear approach. I greatly appreciate and enjoy your words/word usage, "two 'x points' having a complimentary consciousness signature," as well as the others presented. Very thought provoking indeed.
