Vietnam was a cold-war domino that the USA got sucked into - a battle which they could never win (unless they went ballistic and nuked - then where would they be now). There is no way the USA would launch an invasion into North Korea - it would be as awful and costly as Vietnam and would be outright foolish. But, if the USA responded to a NK nuclear attack - it would be tit-for-tat... except the tit would be so massive and destructive that their would be no chance of a NK reply afterward. |
