Las Vegas and the Sub unit further from shore has a line drawn through LA. Small map has an over lay green line to show what I am expressing here.

I wonder if there is some kind of strange tactic underway.
 Quoting: --Voltaic--

For NK to "slip" and expose any Intel like this is suspicious. Highly, although it would make sense that Mexico would willingly cooperate and allow such to happen.. for a promise of a piece of America... what theyt already (falsely) believe is theirs.
.
Golly....I guess the US Navy are tards...NK has diesel subs...not like they can just roll up to the coast

Thank God your not a military leader.

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 37142240

Either paid shrill or complete idiot.

North Korea has been hatching devious attack scenarios against the US for over half a century, with the aid of other enemy countries whom have superior militaristic technologies. Do you really think they are collectively incapable of causing significant devastation on US soil? They have been watching and waiting decade after decade to get in their perceived due to our country, it is pure arrogance as well as ignorance to assume it to be benign.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 5648569

They would not be so brazen unless they no longer feared an attack by US forces. They have something in the bag.

Re: NK Plans to use subs to attack US...San Diego, El Paso involved
Just to inform you if you dident know. NK dont have any sub capable of carrying anything else than torpedoes, so if they aint gonna run em up on a beach and fire with handguns, i dont think you have to worry. Also their subs make 13kn submerged... You could run faster than that. They dont have the range or speed or the backup to cross the ocean.

So this thread FAILS bigtime, dont talk navy shit if you dont understand navy warfare.

They would need atleast 3-4 supportships for their 30 subs, and then 2 or more tankers. To defend them you need some destroyers or corvettes, maybe a fregate or two.

Try to hide that kind of movement when they cant even go to the toilet before your satelites pick that shit up.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 37015774

bs - if the 1930s era uboats could travel across oceans then im sure soviet era subs can too - they prob wont but they could.

also i read an article earlier from over ten yrs ago which said then that upgraded (faster engines with electric stealth capacity) r27 subs were being fitted for ballistic missiles. it didnt say much more but it would be prudent to assume they may have bm sub launch capability.

There is no way NK infantry could take LA. The gangbangers are too well armed and will stand and fight to protect their hood long after the LAPD has retreated east on I80.

I guess NK will try to run up the 395, hit China Lake, and blind the navy- turn East towards Vegas, after hitting the dams, hit Palo Verde. My guess is Bangor will also get hit, too. Western Wa. has a large sub base.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 37098542

Your right. If it isn't nuked and they really attempted to take LA hostage, there are ways.

-Poison water supply
-Knock out power (no this isn't a Wolverine script)
-Fortify highway points
-Offer clean water in exchange for weapons and info of insurgents
 Quoting: --Voltaic--

I think you mess the things up. Nrth Korea never said will have land invasion on S. California, or will battle with Austin residents (as another thread assumes). First of all, those maps appear to be deliberately released propaganda for the US consumer. Second, if there is an actual attack, it will be most likely in the form of EMP. The subs are too small to have any significant "marines" to come from them. They however might be loaded with nuclear torpedoes or small rockets, as in the Cuban crisis. I don't know about the subs story more. North Korea in case of real war will be busy to invade the South Korea, after delivering the EMP strike on USA (if what they say is true). Another one, may be China, might want to land invade uSA. So I guess all those resistant plans are out of touch if you cannot prevent the large coast to coast EMP, incl on autonomous electrical grids. And how to prevent it when the rhetoric is now as heated. BTW the last sanctions seem to freeze bank assets of NK (leaders). I don't know more but that is enough. NK leaders are furious for some reason, and make their people furious too, as seen on the staged mass protests. Perhaps one can try to talk to them, after they flexed muscles. Or to prepare for EMP when no trucks, no food deliveries to supermarkets, no telephone lines, n cell phones, no internet, no hospitals run, nothing. I forgot, 2000 planes that fly in the sky, will be uncontrolled falling bombs. Then USA will have a humanitarian crisis as never before, and perhaps the world will rush to help - humanitarian invasion from Europe, Russia and China to repair the grid and to make the common US citizen doesn't die for lack of drinking water. All those resistance plans are an absurd if we are talking of the aftermath of a nuclear war although very limited one. Because here we are not talking of megatons exploded deliberately by a superpower that will be devastated from top to bottom and that has no parallel in human recorded history, but only of an EMP made by missile hi up in space orbit. Haven't you seen movies? Why no one discusses possible talks with marshal Kim, or at least with China? To explain USA doesn't intend nuclear attack with those B-2 and so on and so on? Perhaps someone wants the NK attack after all and that someone is not Asian.

What if NK sneeks in, builds a WTC replica in downtown Manhatten- all under the cover of darkness.

Then at sunrise as people discover the towers are back, they crash jets into and make them implode- all while laying down chemtrails and searching for Atlantis at the same time.

All tomato plants within 10,000 miles would need to be brought indoors, or given 32 oz. of coconut oil. yoda

I was born and raised in Vegas but I lived in Tijuana for over three years, and half that time I was attending medical school down there (let the jokes begin, it's a great program, cheap tuition and its grads are approved by the California Medical Board to take the U.S.M.L.E. exams for licensure) but then my crazy Mexican wife and her parents took off with my toddlers and filed for divorce and full custody so I had to drop out in the middle of my second semester of med school and scurry on back to Vegas and then on to San Diego to both avoid the jurisdiction of the corrupt and biased Mexican Family Court system, as well as file my own petition for divorce and custody here in San Diego to protect my kids' rights (they were both born in Las Vegas, my wife and I married in Mexico and then immigrated to Vegas legally and she is now a US citizen). We were only living in Mexico temporarily while I attended med school and our plan was to transfer out after my fourth semester to another school in Florida to finish.
Anyways , sorry for the long ass sob story Lol Here's my point, while living in Tijuana I know of at least two new Muslim mosques that were built. I thought that was strange since Mexico is so very Catholic and it just seems that Islam wouldn't do so well in converting many Mexicans with such strong Catholic/Protestant/Christian backgrounds. But then I remember reading an article in the local paper there, "El Mexicano", that the mosques cater to the massive influx of MUSLIM IMMIGRANTS TO THE BORDER REGION OF MEXICO IN THE LAST FEW YEARS. Wtf? If you can read Spanish you should look up the articles and also the Mexican government websites that show detailed numbers of resident visas and citizenship granted to people from different countries and you would be very surprised to see how many come from places such as Iran, Lebanon, Iraq, Syria, Egypt, etc.
no shit.

:NKAP01:

Look closely at the the map in the back ground of the released pic linked below.

The forward map looks like a child tried to play commander, the white map hanging up.

The more perma-map beyond that has proper military symbols. Designed by a professional military force.

The symbols are hard to pin point but the submarines were easy to point out.

The locations were easy, referenced to geography, they are accurate.

LA is not marked in this map, because it is a target for complete destruction. (assumed)

Two border towns are marked, one of is white and appears to be a communication unit (the crooked lightening arrow) and is a triangle on top (assumed - possible leadership or local HQ)

I didn't even know that the DPRK had submarines. Are you sure that they do? Also, if they do have them don't you think the US has enough sonar detection capabilities to detect exactly where they are? Our subs, the ones that go around the world are powered by nuclear reactors onboard them. What the hell are the north korean's subs powered by?

I do realize that not all those who dwell the surfaces of our planet are blessed with the intellectual capacity to apply basic, appropriate analytical tools in calculating the most probable outcomes of scenarios of this nature. Hence, I would like to a bore, and offer all those sadistic minds out there who, on some subconscious level at least, seem to be hoping for an actual wide-scale open conflict with a dose of pure, undiluted reality. Regardless of what the North-Korean media hype and scare has spurred in some of your highly imaginative little minds, I assure you there are NO missiles or other weaponry in the North-Korean regimes possession that have the reach or are able to do any damage to any target on the American mainland. PERIOD. If you seriously believe the opposite you need to get your head examined. And that includes the capacity to use nuclear warheads. We are talking about a country who, despite having a 1 million plus standing army (which is quite large for any moderately sized country), are in terms of military- technological development 50 years behind the rest of world, and in comparison to the United States, surely at least 100+ years behind. Every move they are making, both above ground and below is being monitored in utmost detail. The idea that North Korea would be able to use their old submarines to get anywhere close a location needed to hit the US mainland without the US noticing or tracking that movement and neutralizing that threat pre-emptivly is absolutely ridiculous.

The only real threat that has ever existed is their capacity to take on the highly geo-politically vulnerable South Korea, seeing as how Seoul isn't located more than 40 km from the border of the two Koreas. Even though South-Korea has a smaller army numerically, their technological capacity trumps the Norths by a longshot so even an isolated mexican standoff between the two of them would result in an highly probable victory for the South. Any scholar versed in this field would tell you this. Add the US alliance to this and well, it simply is a no brainer. And China is not a factor people, their support of the latest sanctions imposed on the country should be an obvious display that their is a limit to extent of that friendship. What you ultimately fail to understand is that the Kim-dynasty in North-Korea uses this kind of rhetoric and display of power to handle conflicts and tensions within the small clique of family-elites who influence and circulate around the secluded Kim-dynasty. This is a simple display of resolve by the new heir to throne, to assure the preservation of his dynasty by showing that he might look dull ,fat and young but that he is willing to go great lengths in order to "bravely protect" his people. In turn he earns the respect and loyalty of the old, crazy and paranoid generals that surround and advise him. It has very little to do with the outside world you see. The North-Korean regime KNOWS it signs it's own death sentence and definite demise by initiating an open full-scale conflict it could NEVER win, with the South and by extension the US. The first rule in an anarchic world system of state actors is that only the national state apparatus itself can assure the preservation and continuation of it's own government and governance. That's some political science 101 for all of you pseudo-scholars out there :). North-Korea, if anything is a prime example of a regime with an extremely high sense of self-preservation, so why on earth would they resort to an action, completely counter-intuitive to this? Think! Of course it wouldn't! How would it benefit from it's own annihilation? So please. Chill out.

So please. Chill out.

Re: NK Plans to use subs to attack US...San Diego, El Paso involved
