I'd go get my wife from work, load the mag in the rifle in my truck, drive as far away from the city as I could get, and engage any enemy that came after me and my family until I could join those organized to resist. Of course!

My wife would already be on her way home so I'm covered there. Shouldn't the mag already be loaded otherwise what's the point? I live in Montana, I don't need to go anywhere. I would strongly recommend against engaging the enemy on your own...wait until there's an organized force you can join. If it's just you and your family, hunker down and ride it out, only engage the enemy if absolutely necessary.
