Exactly the point, it's illogical. The constitutional infringement logic makes no more sense when applied to gun controls or drunk driving. Taking guns or cars away from law-abiding, responsible citizens is stupid. So don't apply the same logic to cars for the sake of humanity?

Here's something about background checks most people EVEN IN IL. don't know. Wrap-Backs.

Let's say you pass a background check initially. Now you're in the system. The system is automated and it constantly runs your name every month after on its own.

It checks several databases, like the state criminal repository records looking for new criminal convictions or domestic violence... or...any database they want like medical or psychological databases, for example, in the future. HIPPA By-pass quite likely.

Wrap Backs can work in nearly real time, Background checking you as often as they set the interval for.

So it's NOT just about your background. Once they institute this, it's about you "future-ground" check too.

Nope! It's all about getting data on gun owners and those that wish to buy guns. No more GUN registration push - it's about registering OWNERS now.

THIS IS A COMPLETE FAIL! I have seen many a good deal in the parking lot before going into the show. Kinda like that by-back thingy the LEOS try to do, where top dollar is paid to customers from collectors wanting their guns first.
