It's just a wave cloud generated by Marion Island's 1230m peak.

does marion island HAVE a peak to cause a wave cloud?

whats the visual difference between 'interference' cause naturally by island peaks and some thing man made?

and anyway, wtf is that remote pile of buildings? seems rather too intricate for 'studying wildlife'

That's funny, because Amsterdam island has a "magnetic observatory" and meteorological observatory on it too.... Hmmmmmmmmm
