Nobody seems to care that these are but a small group of men bickering over who's dick is bigger. Yet it affects everything we see as relevant.

Yes, that's fascinating.
Would you like to know why nobody is stating that?
Two reasons:
1) It's obvious and we all know it.
2) It achieves absolutely nothing.

NK actually has a very large albiet not very well armed Military. However, we do not know who or how much aide is coming in to NK to back them. China, I suspect, is helping immensly behind the scenes.

Everyone seems to think China is not a threat, but they are still the "Red Army" and they, "China", would love to see America in a shambles.

I'm glad I'm 4F! Ahhhhhh! It's gonna be rough, real rough, kickin' back at home while all these dumbfounded latte sippin' metrosexuals get pressed into the military to be used as bayonet fodder for the Norks. It's a reall cryin' shame I tell ya! HAHAH!

But seriously, it won't come to that probably. And all this stuff about PRC backing up DPRK misses the forest for the trees -- sure they back them, to a POINT. The PRC is clever and you can't think of their motivations in linear terms. The DPRK is full of brainwashed Communist idealists --- maybe not the very upper ranks who know its all BS, but the bullwarks are die hards. Now, if DPRK COLLAPSES, and they reunify with ROK, then what do you have? A fourth generation warfare nightmare, because the ROK has to integrate all these hostile elements who can act as spies and lackeys and what not.

So what would PRC have at that point? Well, it would have a Korean with which it shared its border, which has all the modern technology that the PRC covets and has set out it wants to acquire in its latest five year plan (semiconductor process control tech, etc etc). This new Korea would be filled with the perfect recruiting pool of highly motivated spies which could be used to infiltrate these techology firms like Samsung, Daewoo, Kia, Lifes Good, all the contract fabs, assembly facilities, etc. I used to work for an avionics contractor here in the US, and we made ONE part for the ROK's copy of the F-5 fighter --- they made all the other parts locally! The ROK also manufactures a local copy of the F-15 eagle! Think about the factories and engineering plans of all of that falling into PRC control, heh.

Well a united korea would in time reduce u.s influence on northern asia. Just a guess.

John Kerry to travel to the region in a week or so for meetings with Japan, China and South Korea.

If we went to war with them, then, we would defeat them and then, we would have to help rebuild. I think that may be what Lil'Kimmy wants. Possibly. Or, there is the other, much darker side where China is actually pulling the strings on Lil'Kimmy and they "China" want us to go to war so that they can invade America while we are at our weakest. The EU would not respond, they are broke, so are we, Japan is broke. China is basically the only ones besides the Middle East who have any "real" money right now. And I wouldn't expect them to loan us money to fight them. lol.

Here's a list of of events that have taken place within the DPRK in the last few months...

Dec 12, 2012: North Korea successfully launches three-stage rocket and places satellite in orbit. Seoul, Washington and UN condemn launch as a covert ballistic missile test.

Jan 22, 2013: UN Security Council passes a resolution condemning North Korea's rocket launch and tightens existing sanctions.

Jan 24: North Korea's National Defense Commission says it will proceed with a "high-level nuclear test".

Jan 25: North Korea threatens "physical counter-measures" against rival South Korea.

Feb 12: North Korea conducts a third nuclear test.

Feb 26: North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un oversees a live-fire artillery drill aimed at simulating an "actual war".

March 1: South Korea and US launch annual "Foal Eagle" joint military exercise.

March 5: North Korea says it will scrap armistice that ended the 1950-53 Korean War.

March 7: North Korea threatens a "pre-emptive" nuclear strike against the United States and South Korea. The United Nations adopts tougher sanctions on Pyongyang over its nuclear test.

March 8: North Korea announces the voiding of non-aggression pacts with South Korea and severs a government hotline with Seoul. Kim Jong-Un tours frontline island units and vows "all-out war".

March 11: South Korea and US launch annual "Key Resolve" joint military exercise.

March 18: US Deputy Defense Secretary Ashton Carter promises to provide South Korea with every military resource under the US nuclear umbrella.

March 19: US publicises flights by nuclear-capable B-52 bombers over South Korea as part of "Foal Eagle" exercise.

March 21: North Korean army threatens strikes against US military bases in Japan and Guam in response to B-52 flights.

March 22: South Korea and US sign new pact providing for a joint military response even to low-level provocation by North Korea.

March 26
: South Korean President Park Geun-Hye warns North Korea its only "path to survival" lies in abandoning nuclear and missile programmes. North Korea's military puts its "strategic" rocket units on a war footing, with fresh threat to strike targets on the US mainland, Hawaii and Guam and South Korea.

March 27: North Korea cuts last remaining military hotline with South Korea.

March 28: The United States deploys two nuclear-capable B-2 stealth bombers on "deterrence" missions over South Korea. Hagel says US ready for "any eventuality."

March 29: Kim Jong-Un, vowing to "settle accounts," orders missile units to prepare to strike US mainland and military bases in the Pacific.

March 30
: North Korea declares it had entered into a "state of war" with South Korea.

They're at the end of the road. They've made a declaration of war against the South and as you can see within the timeline, under new leadership they've been keeping more of their promises.

Why now though? Why all of a sudden?

I completely agree that China is behind much of the escalation of NK's provocative threats. They've always talked big, and looked like fools in the process; but I can't remember a time where they have been more determined and bent on trying to convince and solidify their threats. And, I think it is solely because China is actively pushing them to do so behind the lines, both directly and indirectly.

And it's easier to do when you have such a inexperienced leader as this idiot, Jong-un, is. There hasn't been such a better opportunity as there is now for China. Weak American government, inexperienced, naive North Korean leader -- it's a golden opportunity for China, and therefore Russia, as well.

S. Korean Marines to hold drills with U.S. forces next month
SEOUL, March 31 (Yonhap) -- South Korea's Marine Corps announced Sunday they will hold multiple combined exercises with U.S. marines next month.

The South Korean marines said they will stage four exercises together with the U.S. forces in April to hone their capabilities in carrying out landing and tactical operations and in maneuvering their mechanized units.

I feel they are hellbent on a mission, and China and Russia as has been stated may behind it, also wars are good for full employment.

And I wouldn't expect them to loan us money to fight them. lol.

Makes sense. Install a cooperative leaders in nations that have resources... bomb the shit out of nations with nothing to offer.

You can count on China pulling strings and as soon as things begin to kick off, we'll finally get to see their true colors.

I don't think an invasion of America is in the cards though... China will just collapse the dollar with their gold backed currency. They'll defeat America without firing a single shot.

All the world leaders are friends and members of the same club. You are not in that club OP, because you are a sheep....
