Re: North Korean Timeline of Escalating Threats
NK has no interest in provoking war.

Neither does Iran.

Be on the lookout for next false flag.

It will feel REAL!
 Quoting: 4Cn

Assuming NK is just a military proxy for China, it has little to do with their own interests. China uses NK and in doing so will suffer no accountability.

Just think... China/Iran relations would significantly improve should the US be forced into a conflict and become preoccupied elsewhere...

ALSO

Should NK attack American interests in the region, namely Japan, that would also be a huge bonus for China as well.

Remember, the US made a statement they would support Japan and their claim to the disputed islands... It was right around that time when things began to heat up.

Coincidence? I think not.

China approved of the tougher resolutions in the UN, when it could have vetoed easily.

NK dearly needs those missiles to ensure the continuity of their collapsing system, so they won't back down. Starving the fuckers again (sanctions) could have dire consequences for the innocent population and force them to fight.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1725135

If China had vetoed tougher sanctions, their intent would be pretty obvious. They might just simply be staying in character for the show.

Re: North Korean Timeline of Escalating Threats
Action Plan NK-1

Coordination between Iranian, Syrian and DPRK pre-positioned special forces teams inside America. NK infiltrated via Chinese based shipping companies. 600,000 special forces provide able-enough volunteers for these missions.

Action Plan NK-2

Using ocean going merchant vessels as cover, DPRK subs follow them into American ports and deliver nuclear-based timed mines to destroy various ports and major parts of the port cities as well. Including Norfolk, which has five Aircraft carriers parked there, pearl harbor-style.

Action Plan NK-3

Delivering multiple EMP bursts in the atmosphere around the US insuring major disruption of life in America. Some missile interceptors will be successful, but not all, and we don;t have many. The ones that are intercepted still cause major havok around the west coast especially.

These are just three plays in their playbook. And its a big book.

Re: North Korean Timeline of Escalating Threats
For anyone that denies Chinas involvement, have a look at this.

"The satellite launch and subsequent nuclear test by the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea have greatly increased the level of concern in the United States and its East Asian allies. A frequent response is to demand that China rein in its troublesome ally. There is a growing view in the West, now verging on consensus, that China holds the key to taming Pyongyang’s behavior and solving the crisis caused by the DPRK’s nuclear and missile programs. And there is mounting anger that the Chinese government seems unwilling to use its influence in a decisive manner."

" Beijing could end the North Korean nuclear crisis with a telephone call threatening to cut off aid" ..... "highly suspicious that Chinese officials were unwilling to make that call."

The article points out that China advised against the nuclear tests and that Pyongyang went ahead with the tests regardless of their allies concerns... That's pure propaganda. Chinas influence would have come into question again had they NOT spoken against the tests.

China will use NK as a proxy to reduce the American military presence in the region, softening things up for their eventual conflict with Japan. It's also possible this serves Chinas interests with Iran.

You got it.

Dec 12, 2012: North Korea successfully launches three-stage rocket and places satellite in orbit. Seoul, Washington and UN condemn launch as a covert ballistic missile test.

Jan 22, 2013: UN Security Council passes a resolution condemning North Korea's rocket launch and tightens existing sanctions.

Jan 24: North Korea's National Defense Commission says it will proceed with a "high-level nuclear test".

Jan 25: North Korea threatens "physical counter-measures" against rival South Korea.

Feb 12: North Korea conducts a third nuclear test.

Feb 26: North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un oversees a live-fire artillery drill aimed at simulating an "actual war".

March 1: South Korea and US launch annual "Foal Eagle" joint military exercise.

March 5: North Korea says it will scrap armistice that ended the 1950-53 Korean War.

March 7: North Korea threatens a "pre-emptive" nuclear strike against the United States and South Korea. The United Nations adopts tougher sanctions on Pyongyang over its nuclear test.

March 8: North Korea announces the voiding of non-aggression pacts with South Korea and severs a government hotline with Seoul. Kim Jong-Un tours frontline island units and vows "all-out war".

March 11: South Korea and US launch annual "Key Resolve" joint military exercise.

March 12: Kim Jong-Un threatens to "wipe out" South Korean island of Baengnyeong.

March 15: Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel announces plans to bolster US mainland defenses against a possible North Korean missile strike.

March 18: US Deputy Defense Secretary Ashton Carter promises to provide South Korea with every military resource under the US nuclear umbrella.

March 19: US publicises flights by nuclear-capable B-52 bombers over South Korea as part of "Foal Eagle" exercise.

March 21: North Korean army threatens strikes against US military bases in Japan and Guam in response to B-52 flights.

March 22: South Korea and US sign new pact providing for a joint military response even to low-level provocation by North Korea.

March 26
: South Korean President Park Geun-Hye warns North Korea its only "path to survival" lies in abandoning nuclear and missile programmes. North Korea's military puts its "strategic" rocket units on a war footing, with fresh threat to strike targets on the US mainland, Hawaii and Guam and South Korea.

March 27: North Korea cuts last remaining military hotline with South Korea.

March 28: The United States deploys two nuclear-capable B-2 stealth bombers on "deterrence" missions over South Korea. Hagel says US ready for "any eventuality."

March 29: Kim Jong-Un, vowing to "settle accounts," orders missile units to prepare to strike US mainland and military bases in the Pacific.

March 30
: North Korea declares it had entered into a "state of war" with South Korea.

They're at the end of the road. They've made a declaration of war against the South and as you can see within the timeline, under new leadership they've been keeping more of their promises.

Why now though? Why all of a sudden?

Look no further then China.

WW3 will begin as a war by proxy. All the superpowers have their own pieces to play before they get directly involved themselves.

Thanks for this:)
 Quoting: CeeLite

No problem :)

I don't think the US mainland is under threat, not yet at least. It would be too suspicious if the DPRK only made threats against the American military presence in the region (Japan/Guam) and not the US as a whole, so in my opinion it's just posturing to better serve Chinas purpose.

It's unlikely China wants America to get bombed... They make way too much money off the states.
 Quoting: CalmShock

China knows we can never repay our debt, that we at some point will default. Then they will be holding worthless paper.

They need us out of the way so they can expand into Asia.
So if N. Korea does it, it's not "their fault", so we can not blame them, but we will be effectively crippled.

If China supplies the money, N. Korea could have gotten old ballistic missiles from Russia, and nukes too.

Remember, N. Korea needs to develop their own weapon versions for Arms sales to other rogue nations, thus the testing.
This does not mean it is the only thing that they have on hand!
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 37116198

When the dinar revalues there will be more then enough funds to repay China.
The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it, ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is.

Re: North Korean Timeline of Escalating Threats
Scenario:

NK invades the South. A series of U.S military blunders and South Korean intel failures the North steamrolls into Inchon and encircles Seoul, hammering beleagured U.S & SK positions. U.S airpower begins to get the upper-hand but a combination of fierce NK air defences and difficult terrain the battle focuses back on the land war.

Within four months the U.S & SK are pushed back and forced to evacuate due to the activation of 4.7 million NK reserves (out of 8.2m). The war returns to the air but by this time it is futile. The South has been lost.

Congress puts nuking NK to a vote but Obama warns that such an act would be in breach of America's "no first use" policy. Japan at this time declares a state of emergency and tears up its Pacifist constitution, fearing a nuclear war on the Korean Peninsula.

Russia and China go to their version of DEFCON-2, and mobilize their armies. China reassures the West that it will not enter the war but reminds the U.S & SK that if its borders become unstable it has the right to take "defensive action". In the same statement it calls on the world to overturn Japan's decision to undergo full rearmament, citing WW2.

Meanwhile, the vote in Congress is shot down by a handful of votes. NK warns the West that it will only use nuclear weapons if an attempt was made to invade the newly-unified Peninsula. Though the vote was defeated, an alternative Bill was enacted authorizing an expeditionary invasion force of 480,000 U.S soldiers (to be joined by 60,000 British, 15,000 Australians and 4,000 New Zealanders).

North Korea tests a fourth nuclear bomb, this one 2 megatons, and warns that it will flatten Tokyo if the expeditionary force isn't called off.

The U.S/U.K etc has a choice: Sacrifice its precious global economy and millions of innocent civilians - or turn back.

What would they do?

Awesome I was waiting for someone to piece all the threats together so we might see if what's happening now is a catalyst for a major war maybe even WW3. I always thought that they always had this Napoleon complex so they talk mad shit and it leads no where. After seing this timeline, youv put this into perspective for me, thank OP.
