I am curious to see if any readings came off them. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 29749468 There are plenty of bodys to choose from..... Good Idea Ya I'm sure some smart fellow over there had the equipment and the idea. But are they letting people get close enough to do readings on the sea lions in the area? Ifso whoever has the means to do this should before they try to sweep this under the rug. At this point its overwhelming....im sure a savvy person could get results. |

Quoting: Knowbody Special Yet, despite this increasing and alarming FACT, the world's governments remain silent as to why and the majority of sheeple continue about their business as if everything is normal, when clearly... it's NOT. definitely. People too busy try to escape reality. Or overworked struggling doing the job of two to simply survive. |

Normal circulations have been disrupted. Suspended contaminants.. Baitfish affected. Feeding patterns changing. Pod migration.. the dolphins are smart. There is a lot more going on than we're being told. They said 80% of fuku contaminate was carried out over the pacific. What goes up, must come down. [link to enenews.com] [snip] unlike some other compounds, radioactive cesium does not quickly sink to the sea bottom but remains dispersed in the water column, from the surface to the ocean floor. Fish can swim right through it, ingesting it through their gills, by taking in seawater or by eating organisms that have already taken it in, [Study author Daniel Madigan of Stanford University's Hopkins Marine Station] said. |

We know that a shitload of radiation was released in the ocean, probably a lot more than they`ve admitted to.Let`s not forget the BP oil spill also, where billions of gallons of oil was released into the gulf. These sea lions don`t have to be personally exposed to get sick,it just needs to contaminate the food chain and i remember hearing about fish caught off of Japan with 7,000 times the legal amount of radiation. |

THe Mark Kelly thing was in Laguna and my husband's friend was at Emma Wood state beach in Ventura, so 100 miles from each other. We need to stay on top of this. Hometown paper had this yesterday: [link to www.vcstar.com] Starving sea lion pups fill Calif. rescue centers ...It's gotten so bad in the past two weeks that the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration declared an "unusual mortality event." That will allow more scientists to join the search for the cause, Melin said. Pups are normally weaned from their mothers in April. Even the pups that are making it are markedly underweight, Melin said. The most recent pups weighed at the breeding area on San Miguel Island were around 37 pounds, Melin said. They should weigh between 55 and 59 pounds by now, she said. Melin said she doesn't know how the pups are making it to the mainland, but they must be using currents and swimming. "That's a long way, and they are very small," she said. "They don't have a lot of fat, and the water is pretty cold. They are often dehydrated, which is typical with emaciation. It puts them in pretty bad condition." Those landing on the mainland may have been looking for food if their mother stayed out foraging too long, Melin said. ... |

Lived here for so long, first time I've ever heard of this sort of thing going on here in Southern California - sea lions and especially sea lion pups showing up everywhere, looking lost and sick and all. Quoting: MatangLawin It's really strange. Downright creepy if you ask me. Couple this with that sighting a month or two ago of that gigantic dolphin pod. Kinda makes you wonder ... do they know something we don't???? It's like they know what's coming, and the sea animals like dolphins and sea lions are either crying out for help, or trying to get the hell outta Dodge!!! Brandt's So Cal earthquake. I'm on it. Should get a couple day's notice anyway. |

[link to www.nuclearcrimes.org] [snip] And what will happen in 5-6 years from now when it is estimated that the trillions of trillions of becquerels of radiation that were spewed and dumped at Fukushima Daiichi into the Pacific will reach North America's coastal waters? A study titled 'Model simulations on the long-term dispersal of 137Cs released into the Pacific Ocean off Fukushima' published in July 2012 indicated that large pockets of floating cesium-137 the area of many Western states will reach North America's coastal waters five years after the tsunami. By 2016 according to the study authors, the radiation levels in these pockets, which will sinisterly float eastward between the latitudes of southern California and southern British Columbia, Canada, could reach up to 1,000 times pre-Fukushima levels. |
