Please tell me more? Jesus was a symbol of what? what happened at that time of the solar year? Was Jesus a man born of Marry?

Jesus said he would be dead 3 days and 3 nights. This does not match up with a Friday crucifixation. Scholars believe Jesus was crucified on thursday. This would match the 3 day/3 night as Jesus saud. The church combined the resurrectun with stories of pagan worship. That's why they don't match. Look up origin of Easter. It is named after an old testament queen and has nothing to do with Jesus

Just as Jonah was 3 days & 3 nights in the belly of the great fish, so shall the son of man be 3 days & 3 nights in the heart of the earth.

He was crucified on a Wednesday & rose Sabbath (Saturday) about sunset.

Jesus did suffer on the cross, but it was planned that he would not die on the cross. The question is why did Jesus even have to stay and suffer on the cross, since he could have easily left Jerusalem?

Scripture says "ON the 3rd day", it does not say "AFTER 3 days".

The day of the "crucifixion" is the 1st day, the "rising" was ON the 3rd day.

But no more signs would be given to that generation except the sign of the Prophet Jonah (cf. 16:4). As Jonah was... in the belly of a huge fish for three days and three nights... the Son of Man would be in the heart of the earth for three days and three nights. (Since the Jews reckoned part of a day as a full day, the “three days and three nights” could permit a Friday crucifixion.) Of course, by giving this sign Jesus was demonstrating that they had already decided to reject Him. For Him to fulfill this sign, He would have to be rejected, die, and be buried. Jesus could have risen on Friday evening and no one would be any wiser because on Saturday it was Sabbath so no one went out of the house and on sunday morning when mary went, he was already gone.

He gave up his spirit, put away his fleshly body, went to the grave and spent three days there (probably delivering Adam and the rest) before he was resurrected. Such good news huh?
