I just woke up and opened up my browser. I usually have google search page for my homepage. I have for years. I'm a Christian and I thought they would have something that related to Easter but noticed they put a picture of Chavez instead.

I could have sworn that google in previous years, had something that pertained to Easter on Easter Sunday.

I have just switched my homepage and search to Bing instead. Goodbye Google.


To the people on here saying, "Its only a search engine", "Why do you care", etc, etc... Google has always used the search page and put something on it to celebrate the holidays. Because of the search engine use and the above is reason why I and probably a lot of people have it for their homepage. It is a pretty good search engine. I'm sure a lot of people were surprised when they had seen chavez instead of Easter on Google Search Page today. Why? because evidently it was not expected. They obviously thought Chavez is more important then Easter. It is a free country, they can use daffy duck if they want. It is their choice and good luck with them.

I noticed Bing search page has really pretty Easter eggs on their search home page. Say Hello to Bing, Goodbye Google.


And by the way google claims to be faster then other browsers which it is, but you wanna know why?

Because it is always running in the background even if you close your browser.

You would think they would appease a large population of Google users and at least honor the Google Users with a historical Jesus. It is an international known person vs Cesar Chavez who is? Compared to even the historical Jesus let alone the Christ.

There dishonor speaks volumes of the world at large and how it hates God and it hates Jesus of Nazareth and also Jesus Christ. But Jesus said it best +2000 years ago (and still talking about him and his Word);

The point is why did Google feel the need to bring POLITICS into Easter. They don't want something Christian related, fine. But put up eggs or something. Chavez are you fucking kidding me? I too have left for the Bing wagon and I'm not even Religious. Fuck Google. Today you actually gave me the reason to change services. It might not be a big deal to some people, but to me it's disgusting. All these people saying get over it, how would you feel if your faith was insulted, doesn't even have to be a religious faith. You would take offense. As I said I'm not even religious but how hard is it really to respect someone else's views even if you don't agree with it.

Whichever phrase you want to use to describe people from ranging from Mexico to South America makes no difference, they're all given the most widely used derogatory terms by ignorant racists as "wetbacks or spics".

I don't think my Mexican friend is trying to be that technical about terminology when trying to turn a racial negative to a positive, so I don't see why you let your ego control you into giving us an example of how pertinent these irrelevant labels are to you and your life.

I'm quite certain he is well aware of where Spanish people come from since he himself thinks that many Mexicans that are tall, light skinned, green eyes are the descendants of Spanish Conquistadors while the short dark skinned are the natives. I'm guessing he uses that since you people share the same tongue.

I don't see why it is hurting you so much that my friend tries to be positive and you're trying to be politically correct about something that would only matter to people with very little going on in their lives.
