I would have expected a good whipping if I had done something similar. As a father with an adult daughter I have no idea how I would have responded to this kind of behavior. I appreciate the dad at least giving a damn!

yeah well.. too many of us have been victims of child abuse & violence.. I'm still traumatized over it to this day, but can see light at the end of the tunnel so to speak. I'm not into religion at all, but now understand what Jesus said about 'forgiving & turning the other cheek,' & 'forgive them, for they dunno what they're doing!' cos basically.. these abusers are mentally ill, in some cases.. evil. My Mother put me through fucking HELL, but still keep in touch with her.. I mean.. have to keep life.. civilized.. & yes, I can, forgive.
I'm saddened when I go to the supermarket or in the street, seeing Mothers verbally & physically abusing their small kids.. just brings.. memories back of what I had to endure. I feel like saying something or intervening, but.. feel I'd get into trouble for doing that. No children should be abused..!!

What happens if 'talking to them' doesn't work? Don't say it always does either because it doesn't fly. Parents like this are the soul reason todays kids are the way they are. I can handle talking to them once, but if it happens again your ass is grass.

When you leave a bruise, welts or any sort of mark on your kid..it's considered abuse.
